Looks like Iran is producing some new air defenses to replace destroyed ones. Although the rate is likely very slow and limited.

I imagine they have underground facilities for producing this. Their are 7500 idle mines in Iran that can be converted into underground production sites.

The IRGC boomer generals didn’t even bother moving sensitive equipment to more secure locations in the days before the war.

Which points to the fact that the leadership was likely taken by suprise for something that everyone on this board saw coming.

How does it compare to strikes levied on American radars, AD, and American bases ? i’m not disputing the poor decisions that were made.

The thought across my mind has been that if IRI powers knew that the air war was coming ,why didn’t they deploy hundreds of units across Iraq with MANPADS to go after low flying aircraft?
Unless you see hundreds of aircraft above major Iraninan cities on a daily bases, then Iranian AD still is a formidable deterrent.

I was certain of it after the Maduro operation. It was clear Trump was overconfident and thought he could do the same thing to Iran. Yet the Iranians have consistently underestimated Trump going back to Solemani assassination. So in 6 years they have learned NOTHING.

Nothing was done. Even after the June 2025 war, Iran’s military leaders were still paralyzed at proper decision making as always and were taken by surprise again in March 2026.

This is not a serious military leadership. It needs to be completely overhauled.

The Americans look less competent. They lost multiple PAC and THAAD batteries. With a one trillion dollar defense budget, they are stuck in mud. At this point, all they can do is target civilian infrastructure.

The biggest blunder was the chance to purchase Chinese J10s and the deal was scuttled because the Rohani/ Zarif faction thought that Fance was going to sell Iran fighter jets.
Even if they would have built 10-12 reverse engineered F-5s per year with Chinese avionics and radars ( something similar in capabilities to Italian F/X radar) and Iranian BVR missiles or Chinese with similar compatibility to the AIM 120-RAAM or better the battlefield calculas would have changed. With even 90 air worthy platforms during the war, Iranian ADs performance would have amplified 5X.

Brazil, Taiwan, and Singapore all upgraded their F5s with better radars and BVR missisles. The oligarchy/mafia in Iran is the problem.
