Green light for Eurofighter from Germany for the Turkish Air Force

"renounce agean claims" - I forsee the mother of all middle fingers heading to the way of the germans !! the sheer arrogance to think that such imporant issues can be brushed aside for weapons for which you pay tens of billions for in the first place ! delusion and arrogance runs strong in germany...

They are out of touch with the real world and they pay the price. Just google 'Germany' and 'economy'. They're destroying their country on their own. No outside intervention needed.

Another example can be found in the restrictions placed on our use of Leopard tanks in Syria or Cyprus.

Yes, we're not allowed to use them outside of Turkey unless it's a NATO operation. lol

Nevertheless, the Turkish government simply doesn't care about these limitations and on paper this constitutes a violation of our agreement with the Germas.

The repercussions they can impose are limited, though. They decided to put up an embargo against TR. It is important to recognize that such policies are rarely unilateral. In fact, these actions have compelled us to seek independence from the German defense industry, ultimately transforming us into a significant player in the global arms market.

No restrictions on German weapons slaughtering women and children in Gaza in mass.

These people are such wannabe pacifist humanitarian frauds. lol

The Germans were freezing their asses off last winter after cutting off Russian oil/gas imports. All Turkey has to do is to wink and nod to identify oil/gas routes from ME to Europe and Iranian proxies can take them out. It will take Europe into recession and will be good payback for supporting Israel's genocide.

Honestly shit like is exactly why I think Turkey should just wait and tough it out, and wait for projects to mature.

They will always use these sorts of things as chains of slavery against Turkey. No Such conditions placed on Greece for the F-35 or the Rafale purchase.

Also this is just going to bury German Defense products with a taboo, I doubt the UK will ever cobuild anything with the Germans ever again, their defense sales are all trapped on the whims of the Germans.

That's probably the issue because there is no guaranteed return for indigenous platform, we saw several "good-enough" platform felt off the crack just because of stupid policy one way or another from well know manufacturer no less (F-20, F-2, Lavi, F-X for example). The gamble may not pay off and most country would have a safety line for such an issue.

What safety line? Its a liability, b/c they control the platform, its not sovereign, so you have to rely on them to operate it, to upgrade it and to replenish its munitions.

There is no other way than to do it yourself. Same as it was with the drone program.

you are seeing with the restrictions, if the time ever came to use them unless its against the Russian or Iran, its useless.

Dude, you are thinking it's a guaranteed success, what if you need fighter tomorrow? You don't fight a war with what you would have, you fight a war with what you had at hand, you can't come back to your enemy and say "can you start the war 10 years later when I got everything ready?" Defence article is ALWAYS on demand.

Safety line is you have a restriction fighter is still better than you have nothing when you need it, and you are talking about multi-billion fighter program, not a drone, again, there are no guaranteed it's going to materialised when you see big name like Lockheed and Mitsubishi failed to materialise their own fighter platform.....

What good is a fighter that may have a kill switch if you use it against Greece? Turkey doesn't need latest NATO tech to fight PKK militia.

Aren't these the sams Germans that round up anyone protesting against Israeli genocide in their country?

The Turks would be advised to think this through. A fighter with conditions attached to it is not what any country should want. You also depend on spares from the same countries. Unless those spares are also produced at home.

Türkiye did really well with KAAN. I don't know how urgent it is to require these fighters.

Mitsubishi X-2 is a 14 m platform which lack 5th gen features
X-2 is like twin engine variant of Turkish HURJET ( 13,6 m ) ....

KAAN Fighter Jet has already materialised ...
-- The second prototype will have a few fixes to the platform for better aero dynamics

-- Turkish Aerospace Industries has great experience and state of the art facilities to produce KAAN Fighter Jet with zero error of production quality

-- Turkiye has enough technology to equip the KAAN Fighter Jet with AESA Radar , EOTS , IRST , EW Suite , HMDS , DIRCM , Missiles , etc

The only thing that needs to be discussed here is time.
KAAN Fighter jet may be delayed for a few years but KAAN will eventually become the Turkish Air Force's most modern strike power , maybe in 2030 maybe in 2035 ... but sooner or later

We are wait for indigenous 35.000 lbf turbofan Engine ... nothing else

There has not been a single Turkish military project that has failed in the last 20 years
Turkiye needs interim solution until the KAAN Fighter Jet squadrons enter service in 2030-2035 period

Turkiye can buy 24 Eurofighter Jets from Qatar or S.Arabia to meet the urgent need as soon as possible

Some sources also talk about this possibility.

Turkey should go for the 40 Eurofighters with following conditions:

1. No restrictions on use.

2. Turkey is able to integrate its own weapons like BVRAAM and PGMs on it - in essence it has access to the source code.

If the answer to either is no, they should tell the coming bankrupt Germany STFU!

1. No restrictions on use.

How can you ever be sure?
A war is the wrong time to find out.

Remember, the Zionists control the Western governments utterly and completely when it comes to any Middle East issue. No German politician will be able get a job even as a toilet cleaner if he angers the Zionists.
