Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

I think I'll take the official US numbers on this one lol.
The US is actively moving against Iran, so it's clear that they'd have fairly accurate numbers.
You guys are acting like 3-4k ballistics isn't that much. 200 or so were fired at Israel in early October and that pretty much overloaded the iron dome.
Iron Dome is not ABM mr expert

Let’s assume those figures are correct but anyway that is years out of date.

Iranian missile production has been in overdrive for the last year at least and they have perfected the act of cheap mass production.
The figure was from February this year. So a few months out of date at the most.

I'm using generic terms. Everyone knows the AD net around Israel to be known as the Iron dome despite the net also consisting of others missiles such as the Arrow.
My point was that the AD net WAS overloaded and did let Iranian missiles hit targets such as Nevatim

Are you also aware that they have used that 3K figure for something like the last 10-15 years.

Ballistic missiles can be stored for decades and Iran fired 20 year old missiles at the entity both in April and October this year.

Erm, no.

Iron Dome is a specific low end AD system designed to intercept small unguided rockets from Gaza and Lebanon. Israel has a multi-tiered AD network from Iron Dome, David's Sling, Arrow, and now THAAD.

Why doesn't Iran develop SLBM and a submarine fleet that can be positioned in the Red Sea or the Mediterranean?

Iran does need to rethink its precision attack capabilities for sure. Look how Israel hit specific buildings, whereas Iran struggled to target specific targets, but "areas" where targets are located, in the 'hope' that they hit it. I do think that they have that realisation now though. Lessons learnt, and improvement plans will be put in place for sure.

The reason was the entity was allowed to go right up to the border of Iran as Iraqi airspace is controlled by US. Not much evidence the useless ALBMs were used again as they all failed in April and so cruise missiles and drones.

I am surprised you still think that Iran does not have missiles with high precision as we saw multiple hits on buildings and taxiways/runways that would statistically be impossible without CEP of 10-30m. The ones that were wildly inaccurate were most probably the older missiles that were nearing the end of their service lives.

Anyway the vast majority of Zionist missiles were intercepted and it is not that hard to hit an air defence battery in western Irán with anti radiation missile fired from 100km within Iraqi airspace.

500?

There is probably less than 10 “missile cities” in all of Iran. I have no idea where you get your numbers from.

Also not everything can be in a mountain. Mixing fuel is extremely toxic and you need proper ventilation and air purification systems. That is hard to do under a mountain. Add in logistics of transporting and storing raw materials on site and chemical precursors + fuel needed.

Just not feasible to put your entire critical weapons production chain underground or else every major power would have done it since WW2.

Look at missile city map:

So much toxic chemicals

- the buildings hit were built recently (2021-22) and produce solid fuel for ATGMs and SAMs, not ballistic missiles
- Iran can replace any damaged mixers itself and without difficulty, even Lebanon has a large number of these mixers, which are not sensitive mechanical systems
