Right. They never officially said "No." When we start mass producing Batu (1500 HP) and Utku (1000 HP) power packs, for some reason(!) they will think of exporting power packs. They have already been out of the equation at lower power levels.

They did say no, that why the South Korean powerback was brought in, and why the Firtinas stopped production, b/c both require MTU powerpacks.
The relaunch of the production should start soon hopefully with the Firtina 2 and the Yeni Altay, althought unlike Firtinas Altays never made it to initial production.

TEI has additive manufacturing technology with Laser Metal Powder melting and Electron beam melting technologies with titanium-nickel alloys which used widely at TEI for our indigenous engine projects
There are two companies in the world that can process aircraft engine turbine blades with the additive manufacturing Nickel Superalloy method
one is General Electric from USA , the other is TEI from Turkiye
Turkiye’s most complex aviation engine part consolidated with additive manufacturing
A product that originally consisted of 330 separate parts can be made in a single run, on a single bench with additive manufacturing
And in 2023 TEI launched 3 New R&D Projects for ceramic matrix composites
The SİCİM Project aims to develop ceramic fibre and ceramic matrix composite materials for use in hot zone turbine parts of aviation engines
The ÖTEKTİK Project aims to develop ceramic matrix composite materials for use in hot zone turbine parts of aviation engines
The AMETİST Project aims to develop processes for aluminium alloy and nickel-based superalloy metal matrix composite materials to be used in aviation engines.
TEI works on three new projects for the development of critical materials used in critical parts of aviation engines.

The beginning of qualification tests on the TF-6000 Engine is expected to be in late 2028
TEI-TF6000 was operated for the first time in 2024, It has passed approximately 60 tests so far. It was stated that the new engines of TF-6000, whose ground tests are ongoing, are also being produced, and that the afterburner part is also being worked on to turn it into TF-10.000
While the beginning of qualification tests on the TF-6000 engine is expected to be in late 2028, to provide the engine with afterburner capability is planned by 2026.
With the TEI-TF6000 project, it aims to gain critical technology, domestic sub-industry companies and experienced manpower for our country by carrying out the design, development and manufacturing stages of the turbofan engine, accessory subsystems, a fan module, a variable fixed wing compressor, a flow mixer exhaust, an afterburner for the first time in Türkiye
With the addition of afterburner to the TF-6000 engine, the TF-10.000 will offer a strong option for both KIZILELMA and ANKA3/4 unmanned stealth Fighter Jets
Unmanned stealth Fighter Jets can be produced in large numbers without any embargo restrictions , thanks to indigenous TF-6000 and TF-10.000 Engines
In this way, Turkish Air Force will have tremendous technological superiority and unique combat capability in the region

It's very good that Baykar has alternatives. They minimize the risk.
I think the Baykar-Ivchenko partnership will produce the engine first. Over time, they will use all engines in different versions.

Last year, we launched the TF6000 and designed, developed and operated an aircraft engine for the first time in Turkey. We are now conducting maturity and flight readiness tests of this engine. Hopefully, we will prepare this engine for flight in the TF6000 and TF10000 series as soon as possible.
Now, for the first time, we have also entered the maintenance of aircraft engines used on ships. Previously, we were supporting the General Directorate of Shipyards for the maintenance of MİLGEM engines. Now, for the first time, we received a job from abroad, from the United States, about LM2500s before the end of the year. In January, there was a second piece of good news that we had won the second tender.

A damn good recap by Prof Mahmut Aksit, CEO of TEI, with a presentation at the Istanbul Technical University. KAAN will fly with an F-22-powering-class indigenous engine in 2029. Customers are ready even before it's finished. May Allah keep their paths open and protect them form Bad Nazar....

The US military and Pratt & Whitney previously claimed that the thrust - to - weight ratio of the F119 engine exceeded 10, even reaching as high as 11.7. However, recent updates on Wikipedia show that the thrust - to - weight ratio of the F119 has been adjusted to 7.9. The US official report audited by the Musk team also indicates that its actual thrust - to - weight ratio is approximately 7.8. it is just so so.
Using F22 level Engine, it means lags behind more than 50 years compared with world level Engine from the start
It makes people think of China's export restrictions on aviation and aerospace engines on May 30, 2024.
Because of the fake data of f119 and f135, China's domestic aero - engine research teams have long been under criticism and pressure with huge resource from various sectors in China.

This Turkish folk, with a PhD from the Rensselaer Polytechnic, was the VP of R&D at the GE's turbo engine division. He knows what he's talking about. According to Prof Aksit, the USA doesn't export F-22 to anyone, including Israil! One reason being it's closely kept secrets about it's engine. By the by, in which company's aero engine R&D division are you working?
