China in 1980s and 1990s, when their GDP per capita was less than 500$

it’s more. it’s not only the war. Vietnam was destroyed while China not. then 10y head start before others. lucky chinese. Deng did many good things to China, although I considered him as war criminal because he initiated the war against Vietnam.

about India, the people of India is not industrious. building up heavy industries is difficult in India. the people in Vietnam luckily inherited some industrious gens from east Asia. so on paper we can.
I hate to break it to you, but Vietnam's heavy industries and metallurgy just aren't on the same level as India's. When you stack Vietnam up against China, the gap is even more apparent. In fact, even China back in the 1960s and 70s was ahead of where Vietnam stands today in these sectors.

what did Mao? what did Deng?

you ever worked with koreans or japanese?

China has more potential than Japan and Korea. if not misguided by irrational internal politics China can surpass both by great margins. that’s the reality.
The startup stage of industrialization is most important and difficult part. It was in Mao's era that China built indepent heavy industries and fundamental industries. Which Vietnam doesn't have even today. China is big country. It is not possible to get money and technology aids from west like Japan and S.Korea did. Comparing them with China is not meaningful

Daddy Zia allowed Nawaz Sharif power in 80's
he was the "Observant" submissive servant of Daddy Zia
Play acted role of , very timid , none dangerous trustable sidekick who can trusted to clean wash Daddy's car. Daddy died eating mangoes on C130. So automatically the curse which was Nawaz got imposed on Pakistani people. Daddy's son was heir to Daddy's power

Nawaz ate Pakistan's economy and continues to eat it
Sharif family is what hit Pakistan

Bhutto and then Sharif both played part in destroying Pakistan Economy , but built nice empires for their own Dynasties (regional limited to province level)

China went forward because it wanted to do something for it's people

China destroyed concept of Dynasties, replaced it with creating highly efficient network of Experts who worked cause of country
vs Developing own Power Dynasty , policy making which goes up to 25-30 years of advance planning

Pakistan since 70's focused on what sperm child , will be produced from Sharif or Bhutto , power must be given to this Devine Sperm Child

Currently Uzbekistan and Bangladesh have almost equal GDP per capita, both nominal and PPP in US$, but Uzbekistan cities and countryside look not different to poorer East European EU countries like Bulgaria or Romania. They also have relatively advanced railway and road systems, which is ahead of USA, Canada and all American countries. Everywhere are clean and civilized. People are relatively well educated, although it is a Muslim-dominated society. Even their so-called slums are relatively clean and organized (a littile bit like Seoul slums)

Not to mention Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, which are not far behind in social development, although they are as poor as the poorest African countries by GDP per capita in US$.

But Bangladesh and India look world apart from Uzbekistan, despite having similar GDP per capita.
Pyongyang, the capital of North Korea, is the cleanest and most organized city in the world—does that mean North Korea is the richest country on Earth?

You are comparing apples with oranges here.

Uzbekistan was part of the Soviet Union and so used to have much higher GDP per capita than BD and also remember BD GDP per capita grew really fast over the last 2 decades.

There has not been enough time to accumulate the wealth to upgrade the infrastructure and build things like enough sewage plants and public services like waste collection.

Give it probably another 10 years and then BD will look much more cleaner as all the slums are cleared, sewage plants built and public services like waste disposal is available all over the country.

This is a cultural issue. Hendu-Pak don’t believe in the western metric of low population, law n order, hygiene and cleanliness.
Every country ruled by an authoritarian regime is more organized and clean China and North Korea are best examples. Pakistan, however, is exception to this rule, because it’s an Islamic dictatorship.

Two countries with different histories.
Central asia was part of the Soviet Union, thus have same level of development and aesthetics as former Soviet block.

Present day Bangladesh until the end of British India, was a countryside argricultural part of the larger Bengal province, with its civlizational and economic center in Calcutta (Present day India). When BD became independent, not only was it separated from its historic capital and socioeconomic center, but it had to start virtually from scratch with a argrarian population and unfavorable geostrategic location.

Lol, why you Indians always want to compare and group China and North Korea together ? They are completely different kind of countries in almost all respects. Singapore, Japan and South Korea are all you would call democracy as your India, yet their countries are way more organized and clean than your India.

The highly organized and clean urban infrastructure seen in both countries is often a feature of dictatorships, aiming to project an image to the outside world that this system is superior.

How about Northern European countries and other East Asian countries like Singapore and Japan? South Korea looks cleaner than North Korea.

Lol, in your opinion, those countries that are organized and clean because they are dictatorship and want to impress the outside world in doing so ? Then ask those you call democracy countries such as Japan, South Korea and Singapore why they are so clean and organized ? Just great excuse to defend your India is such a sh** dirty country where people don't know the practices of clean hygiene and order, and the dirtiness and chaos of your country is only normal in the world, lol. Such delusional people living in their own world.
