Honestly, having h-20 is a luxury but not a necessity.Long-range bomber missions significantly increased the reach of air forces, allowing attacks on enemy territory from bases located far away. But china huge arsenal of ballistic missiles can do the job just fine. If the goal is to threaten the US continent then land based icbm and nuclear subs will do. China still need to establish air supremacy in the Pacific before the need for h-20.

Is there a possibility the H-20’s bomb bay will be large enough to carry an anti-shipping ALBM?

Any plans for a next generation ALBM to be shown at this year’s Zhuhai?

The Su-57 has just arrived … but really? Still onyl a prototype? Showing no. 054 and not a production aircraft would be as if China would show a no. 201X prototype in 2024!

The Su-57 has just arrived … but really? Still onyl a prototype? Showing no. 054 and not a production aircraft would be as if China would show a no. 201X prototype in 2024!

Could the appearance of the Su-57 at Zhuhai indicate China is interested in the Su-57? I know it sounds implausible, but considering all the flanker variants China operates, acquisition of the Su-57 could feed into the J-15 Carrier program, as well as places China would feel more free to use a stealth aircraft in combat, such as against India in the Himalayas, and not care as much if the tech falls into adversary hands, similar to the Su-35 acquisition.

More freedom to actually use these planes in potential skirmishes would give PLAAF and PLANAF pilot more realistic experience.

P.s. I know China has caught up in terms of engine tech with the WS-15, but getting even the most modern AL-51 engine tech can’t hurt either.

This is more about promotion and technical display, as the J35A has arrived this year and this fighter also has a foreign trade platform. There may be some overlap between the customers of Russian fighter jets and Chinese fighter jets. And this is not the first time, 10 years ago at the 2014 Zhuhai Air Show, the FC31 verification aircraft performed on the same stage as the SU35, becoming the most eye-catching focus of that air show

There may be some overlap between the customers of Russian fighter jets and Chinese fighter jets.
