United States elections 2024: Donald Trump Wins

The only segment of the electorate with which Harris made notable gains over Biden’s 2020 performance was with college-educated women — the voters who had propelled the party’s strong suburban performance in the 2022 midterms.

Again, US election does not count on popular vote.

It's a fact that PA and NC dictate the table here, again, as I show you, the change is 2.8%. She could have lose the popular vote by 10 million and lose all the other swing states, yet if she got 165k more in PA and 190k more in NC, she would have been President. That is a fact dude.....you can't argue with that

and 2.8% swing is very close for presidency.......
Unfortunately I am not a follower of the "If" school, so I don't know what you claim to be a fact. Sorry!!!!

Republicans win the Senate

Republicans won back the Senate majority that they held during Trump’s first term but lost when he was defeated in 2020.

The GOP win would have significant ramifications for a new president —easing Trump’s path to having nominees for the Cabinet and other key posts confirmed.

Democrats entered the 2024 election cycle with only one or two seats to spare (depending on which party was in the White House, and therefore held the vice president’s tie-breaking vote) — and an all-but-impossible map to defend, with three seats in deep-red states on the ballot.

Republicans won all three of those races. West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin’s retirement effectively guaranteed Republican Jim Justice’s win there. Montana Sen. Jon Tester lost to 38-year-old former Navy SEAL Tim Sheehy. Ohio Sen. Sherrod Brown fell short against businessman Bernie Moreno.

Dude, you are talking about whether a race is close, if you don't talk about "if" how do you talk about whether or not the race is close? Because you need to work it backward and see how she would have won.

And it's a fact as a matter of Electoral College that she lost those 2 states, 390k vote apart, LOST THE ELECTION for her. How is it not a fact? Which mean she lost the election by 390k vote (2.8%), not 5 millions (4.5%) Because if she had 150k vote in PA and 190K voet in NC, she would have won the election, which mean that is the vote she need to win an election, not the 4.5 million across 50 states.

THIS IS EXACTLY THE SAME AS 2020 ELECTION, Biden won popular vote by 7.6 million (again 4.5% nationwide), yet we won't say Biden won the election with a landslide in 2020, in fact, 2020 is closer than this election as you have 13k split between Georgia and 80k vote in PA.........

She got almost 50% of the vote. It was a close race.

Most presidential races are close. There’s a set number of people who’ll always vote for one party or the other no matter who’s the candidate. The difference is made by the relatively small minority who are undecided. Those are the ones who didn’t like Harris. Trump is ahead by 5 million in the popular vote.

Democrats could find some shelter in the House

Democrats didn’t want to discuss it before the election, but they’re talking about it now.

With Harris’ loss of the presidency and with the Senate coming under GOP control, the House could become the party’s last line of defense in Washington.

With so many votes still to be counted and races to be called, it’s hard to say whether House Democrats are on a path to victory or are headed for another close defeat. Democrats have had some good news out of New York and California, which could on their own kick out enough GOP incumbents to make Hakeem Jeffries the next House speaker.

What that would mean is, simply, that Trump would be unable to pass much, if any, legislation and perhaps more importantly would find himself hamstrung as he tries to wind back Biden’s policies.

That’s like saying that Biden was being gentle on the Palestinians and Trump will be tough. Biden only allowed 200,000 Palestinians to be slaughtered, including 100,000 women and children. What can Trump do that is worse? Kill them all?

Yes.

Going by what he said, "Netanyahu is doing a great job, he should finish it."

Gaza would be prime beach side real estate, words to the effect.

Democrats will do some soul searching

Well before the outcome of the presidential election came into view, one thing was crystal clear for Democrats as Tuesday night rolled on:

There would be lots of finger-pointing around the party. The results were not just a disappointment at the presidential level. In parts of the country where Democrats won and expected to win, the margin was far from comfortable.

Vice President Kamala Harris speaks during a campaign rally at the Alliant Energy Center on October 30 in Madison, Wisconsin.

Even in a scenario where Trump would be able to turn out his base, Democrats thought a surge of support among women voters thanks to an emphasis on abortion rights in races across the country would keep the presidential race close.

“As we have known all along, this is a razor thin race,” wrote Harris campaign chair Jen O’Malley Dillon in an email at one point in the night.

But as the night dragged on, it was not nearly as narrow as Democratic polling and public polling had projected. It became clear to Democrats that they were no longer the party with an ongoing advantage among minority voters and labor unions. And they will have to think about how to win over those constituencies and where they went wrong in messaging and ground game.

Is Nawaz Sharif touching the feet of Donald Trump to beg him for the continuation of the deal against PTI and Imran Khan? I wonder why Nawaz Sharif went to the US so close to the US elections. Medical visit? LOL I heard Nawazoo is also headed to London? It doesn't look suspicious at all.

Harris still hasn't admitted defeat

they may be cooking something

big surprise tomorrow?
