It’ll be interesting to see how Trump handles this war. Of course, he said he’d end it in 24 hours which we know almost certainly won’t happen.

My understanding of his policy is that he wants to force both countries to come to a peace agreement. If Ukraine refuses, he will stop aid. If Russia refuses, he will increase aid. If both countries refuse to come to the table, then what?

That’s the big question here.
 
At last the war mongers can rest in peace. Ukraine shall be made neutral, the world can step back from WW3. The endless slaughter can stop for the sake of humanity. For all the slava Ukrainiani kids here, just stop this butchering based on ego.

the answer is obvious:
Ukraine will never give up any piece of territory. the war will continue, Europe will pay the bill entirely.
the US will sell the weapons for dollars. no more grants.
Trump has said he will favor a weapon loan program for Ukraine.

I seriously cannot understand the bloodthirst these fanboys have here. You are not Ukrainian nor American, this war has nothing to do with you. The world cannot let NATO global cabal dominate eveerything without check and balances right? The ones suffering are Ukrainians, why continue the slaughter.

Ukrainian media published a video allegedly showing North Korean soldiers in the Kursk region of Russia. It is unknown who is actually shown in the video, perhaps this is trolling Russian soldiers. It is reported that DPRK soldiers in Russia are taught mine-explosive work and the basics of the Russian language.

Four Ukrainian kamikaze drones attacked the Russian city of Kaspiysk in Dagestan today, the video was published by local eyewitnesses. Some of the ships of the Russian Caspian Flotilla are stationed in Kaspiysk. Presumably, Ukrainian kamikaze drones of the A-22 "Flying Fox" aircraft type were used, the drones are based on the Aeroprakt A-22 aircraft. Some of the drones were shot down with small arms. Judging by the video, one of the drones presumably exploded near the decommissioned Russian missile boat "Stupinets" of Project 12411T, another drone exploded near a small missile ship of Project 21631. Presumably, Russian electronic warfare was operating in the port area, distorting the GPS signal, which is why the drones missed. At the moment, it is unknown whether the ships were damaged or not.

IMO the main issue Ukraine has is Trump wants to cut funding the war, he prefers Europe to pay for it and for the US to focus its spending at home. He said it himself Russia is a war machine which doesnt stop, so in his mind already he knows this can go on forever if they dont pull the plug.

The main contention is if Trump will meet Putins demand for Ukraine to remain neutral and to hold onto Ukrainian territory (Donbas, Crimea). If Trump can do that the war can end. If not then Putin will keep going.
 
No one knows what russia would settle for by the time trump enters the office..... by tht time russia may have advanced to or may be would have captured pokrovsk and may have lost a thousand plus more russian soldiers lives... thus the longer the war runs the stern the russian position and less the ukranian land left in their control.
What putin has made clear for now may not be valid by the end Jan. Logically speaking, purely from a russian side, russia should reach Moldova and connect to transnistria. Defang ukrain by making it a landlocked nation would be the best scenario and future-proof even if ukrain may join Nato in future.
Anyways, Russia has 3-5 weeks +/- before snow grinds the slow offensive to a halt. To demoralise Ukrainians russia must capture pokrovsk and chasiv yar by thn (looks extremely unlikely) and send truck loads of dead Ukrainians from Kursk. Mental anguish and torture breaks even the toughest warriors. Too much territory is left in Donetsk area to be liberated. Pokrovsk and chasiv yar are less important of a target than sloviansk and kramatorsk. The way things are going now even capturing Doborpilia is a tough target for mid next year. A "bone chilled winter" coupled with nonstop news of dead soldiers or lost territory will help demoralise whatever is left of ukranian spirits. This war can not continue endlessly for either ukrain or russia.
