United States elections 2024: Donald Trump Wins

2020....

The city of Detroit voted overwhelmingly in favor of Joe Biden -- 233,908 total votes for the Biden-Harris ticket compared to just 12,654 for the incumbent President Trump. Detroit’s election turnout was 49.56% -- 250,138 total votes out of 504,714 registered voters.

Harris lost to Trump in Michigan by just over 80,000 votes.

A combination of more rural voters and a lack of enthusiasm for Harris in Michigan's tri county area.

If I had to guess, at least 10,000 black men in Detroit refused to vote for Harris.

Trump wins Dearborn amid anger over Gaza and Lebanon; Jill Stein receives 18% of vote

Donald Trump won Dearborn and made significant gains in Hamtramck compared to 2020 amid anger in Arab American and Muslim communities about deaths in Gaza, Lebanon and Yemen. The two cities, which have the highest percentage of Arab Americans among all cities in the United States, were courted by Trump and his campaign as the former president visited both places in recent weeks.

In Dearborn, where 55% of the residents are of Middle Eastern descent, Trump won with 42.48% of the vote over Vice President Kamala Harris, who received 36.26%, according to results, with 100% of precincts counted, provided to the Free Press from City Clerk George Darany. Jill Stein received 18.37% of the vote. Voter turnout in Dearborn was smaller compared to 2020.

Trump also won in Dearborn Heights, where 39% of the residents are of Middle Eastern descent, defeating Harris 44% to 38.3%, with Stein at 15.1%.

In November 2020, Biden crushed Trump with 88% of the vote in the two precincts in the south end of Dearborn, the area Almudhegi was speaking from Tuesday. Trump only got 10.6% there in 2020, but was expected to win that area in yesterday's election, according to precinct results of election day voting. The anger towards the Democrats was already seen in the February presidential primary, when Biden received only 4% of the vote in the south end while 'Uncommitted' got 91% of the vote.

Dude, again, you are talking about swing. The if part is the one that why she lost. If is a conditional sentence, the fact is that condition based on. The swing is calculated based on what she need to win an election. You compare the same condition, and the condition is how much vote did Harris need to get 270, versus how much vote Trump had to reach 270 Electoral Vote. Not how much vote Harris need to win over Trump in national level.

Unless you disagree with the fact that If Harris have won PA and NC, then she would have been president. Which mean the vote she need to win, but she didn't have, is 350k, not 5 millions.

Let me repeat, if this is a landslide, then so did Biden 2020 is also a landslide........Because this is exactly the same situation with Biden back in 2020, hell, he even won 7.5 mil more than Trump
No. It wouldn't. Even if Kamala had won NC and PA, she still wouldn't have 270 delegates, she would only have 259 and since the current election is still ongoing, with only Maine ahead of her, it's unlikely she would have won the election even if she had won NC and PA, because she lost in all the swing states. So I don't know what you're trying to say here.

It was a landslide election for Trump and you only have to deal with that if you hate Trump. Despite his refusal to accept reality, Trump won the election overwhelmingly and will have a 100% Republican government. As we say here in Brazil, crying is free.

The hispanic vote is what kills the dem

This is the vote distribution in 2020 by race

While trump have a drop on white voter (54% in 2024 58 in 2020) most likely due to the abortion issue. But look at Latino, a bump from 33 to 41% and then the Black from 12 to 16%

Those gain offset the loss in white voter

Interestingly, some economists are saying that Trump can help the US economy by NOT keeping his campaign promise to raise tariffs. Such a trade war may help some companies short term but it would hurt everybody long term, including American companies and consumers. But Trump is all about short term optics so he will probably do it.

One Australian economist said the Australian economy would be massively impacted if the Chinese economy suffers due to American sanctions.

Okay, first of all my bad, I had my tab on MI being Blue, the thing is, it didn't change much % swing wise.

Second of all, it actually made the race closer. Because if Harris won MI, PA and NC, she would have 276 electoral vote. You are talking about 81750 (1.4%) in Michigan

1730928709632.png

And 191849 (3.4%) in North Carolina

1730928837411.png

And 134355 vote (2%) in Pennsylvania

1730928932672.pngThe % swing actually drop from 2.8 (Previously) to 2.23% And instead of 350k Vote, Harris is lost by 340K vote within 17 million voter in the 3 states. It make the race actually closer, not the other way around.

Again, let me ask you a question, do you consider Biden winning over Trump in 2020 with 7.5 million popular vote as a landslide? Even tho Trump can flip the race with just ~80000 vote in PA and 13000 Vote in GA (He got NC so he just need PA and GA to win)

I mean, if you consider Biden win in 2020 is a landslide, I have no problem you are saying Trump 2024 win is a landslide. Because, condition wide they are the similar

I can see that you make a lot of mistakes. I give up on that.
First of all, why should I cry? I don't like both Trump and Biden/Harris, I made that point pretty clear, multiple time before the election. And I no longer live in the US, so what exactly with Trump got elected can make me cry?

As I said, that mistake actually pull the race closer, as she now need less percentage of vote to win. You should probably not correct my mistake.

THE QUESTION IS : DO YOU CONSIDER BIDEN WIN IN 2020 A LANDSLIDE? YES OR NO

If you do, I have no problem agreeing Trump won this time is a landslide.

nah, they know voting Trump means more hardline approach for Israel

On the other hand, Jill Stein surprisingly have not made a big splash on any of the state nor nationally, she get 613k vote nationally and 36k in Michigan...Even if Harris have all Stein vote, she is still behind.
The way I see it, Muslim/GenZ and undecided voter cause Democrats to lose, I would say that Muslim American prefer a honest enemy over a dishonest ally, as the time progress the population of American Muslims will increase so hopefully they can bring some sense into US Presidents and maybe just maybe US stop being such a pain in the A$$ for the rest of the world.

Hilarious considering this Trump administration is massively pro Israel, more so than Biden’s.

Gaza is toast
I would've explained you in detail but I bet it will be a waste of time, be happy in your support of Genocide, and post warrior like post from your mom's basement.
