ArsTechnica: China reveals a new [Long March 9] heavy lift rocket that is a clone of SpaceX’s Starship

LOL, You are so desparate to prove that Chinese techs are all stolen from US,

Who says stolen?????

I'm saying design copying not actual blueprint stealing.

Geez the overly sensitive Chinese again...

Design copying? some design copying is really that easy? You think science and technology are like kingdergarten drawing class?

That's why China says this re-usable Long March 9 version won't be ready until well after 2033...possibly 2040. They have to figure out how to make it work.

Lol, you are just so dumb, Chinese rockets are all based from their previous achieved tech and progress step by step, China is never in a hurry, only an idiot believes that China just decide to build a new rocket based on a photo from US from scratch. By the way, they also say the Newly released J-35 is a copy of F-35, You also believe that crap?

I don't think the design should be taken too seriously. Academician Long keep coming up with new version of LM-9 every few months or so. As one of the early pioneer of space research in China, he has the prestige and clout to do this.

China's Deep Space Exploration Laboratory has a presentation on the reusable Long March 9 (and Starship variant...), targeting 2033. Next door, CASC, which is ACTUALLY BUILDING THE THING, just has the old school expendable CZ-9...

No, not soured at all. :)

I just find it funny the PDF members who constantly criticize other countries for following their "white Masters" are actually following those masters themselves.

🧍‍♂️🧎🏻

Science is science no matter where we go. As Deng once said, doesn't matter if it is a white or black cat, as long as it catches mice, it is a good cat. The very paper, the very firearms, and the every printing press and the very compass were invented by Chinese, so? Every civilization will. Go through ups and downs. We learn from each other and that's how human progress as a species. You probably know if we develop the same capability, we will pretty much dominate space right? Lolol. Half the price with double the features mate. Lol

What make you guys think testing in 2033 means copying from US? 2033 is still almost a decade away, do you mean China is copying US future? Who is that Andrew Jones?

I keep forgetting any designs the US does is the pinnacle in the optimization of solving a problem and nobody should ever dare attempt to try wasting time on any other design through their own attempts at innovation.

Why attempt to climb mountains yourself when you can hang onto the shoulders of giants.

I applaud the money China is sinking into getting SpaceX's 10 year old Falcon 9 landing leg deploy design to work for them...while SpaceX ditches that design for the legless Starship.
