The Palestinians and Lebanese know this, Israel always looks for excuses to enslave them, they kill innocents, kidnap people, kill children, women, abuse them, tortue them, shoot pregnant women, overtake their land, build on their land and sell properties to foreigners and people act like Israel wants peace. We live in a cruel unjust world, might is right.

Hezbollah appears to have recovered from previous blows and can do the war of attrition better than Hamas can.

Hezbollah wasn't planning for this kind of war but has adapted rather well by taking into account long term implications. Israel is looking to stretch it's war as long as possible in Lebanon too. Thinking it will gain upper hand over time. Hezbollah is managing its resources and can resupply in some ways at the same time, to make sure Israel doesn't get the impression it has a advantage over time and to prevent it from escalating if things get one-sided, where Israel thinks it can achieve a political victory of some sort.

Israel is destroying Lebanese villages near the border. It seems to occupy this zone along the border, indefinitely, for as long as the US funds it's war machine, as Israel itself cannot afford waging so much war.

Sooner or later, another player will have to enter the arena. I wouldn't wait too long if a difference can be made. And Israel can be deterred from continuing to try to bomb the region into submission.
