So we can finally see that Iran did indeed lie claiming that the Ambassador to Lebanon was not blinded in the pager attack - he was blinded in one eye.
The communication and messaging of the Republic is a massive weak point especially on items that can be fact checked fairly quickly (such as the appearance of an ambassador or satellite photos of a damaged base you claimed never got hit).
All this does is weaken trust of the people in believing the words of the government in the future.

That's right. I think Russia will ditch the Chinese too if the west mends ties with them.

Obviously they prefer their fellow white Europeans over brown people and Asians. Choosing the west means becoming part of the leading world and the global elite. Choosing east means becoming an isolated nobody. I hope this will change in the near future, but at least for now, it is what it is.

If true it does raise the question how effective the arsenal can be against a carrier group or strike force.
Even Ukraine has gotten lucky hitting the Russian fleet throughout the war.

In Izrael are happy with victory ovet Hezbollah and ready for ceasefire, it would be nice disarmament to Hezbollah, but nothing obligated...they are giving up from this front, too tough...

The reason is that not just Putin but Russians feel "bretrayed" by their 'white brethen" over Ukraine. This will not be forgiven for 1-2 generations.
100,000s of Russians are now dead and 100s of billions have been lost due to economic sanctions and war.
Now what exactly can the US offer Putin-Russia that would even tempt them?
Economically they are doing better than Europe and will defeat Ukraine in the next 1-2 years even if the west continues with current support.
UK is practically bankrupt and Germany is in extremely hard economic times and is withdrawing the majority of the funding as they cannot afford it.
China, along with the "Global South" is rising and Russians probably now want to keep their distance from the declining west. All the goods and services they need is available from the Chinese who are rapidly catching up in all areas like aerospace and IT.
In essence, since they survived the last near 3 years of western economic and military pressure, they have no need to make any "deal" with the west as they will win anyway.
