Since the removal of Imran Khan, their's been a suspicious uptick in cross border attacks which I suppose to those who are aware of the new pro-US. gov. is not surprisinsg
Still doesn't give Iran any right whatsoever to violate Pakistan's sovereignty.
Intelligence sharing isn't a thing I guess in Mullah regime of Iran. Civilized countries don't work like that.

Good, then discuss them here.

I am. I am asking a very simple question. Back when the Americans used to strike and kill innocent people in the tribal areas we used to condone it. It had to be done because someone had to do it. Our generals were complicit and earning dollars by killing their own countrymen. Perhaps lesser humans from the tribal regions.

I find it very odd that suddenly now we have to defend our sovereignty when Iran has fired missiles. Isn't Iran basically saying exactly the same thing that the Americans used to say? Terrorists have a base in Pakistan. Yet, when the Americans make this claim we become subservient and when Iran makes this claim we become the champions of sovereignty. Something doesn't add up here.

The so-called tigers and champions of Pakistani sovereignty only wake up when it is convenient. I have never seen such a strong urge for revenge when the Americans were striking Pakistan left and right. The argument used to be that terrorists need to be killed anyway. Let's outsource the killing to papa America.
There were many on PDF that called for the shooting down of US drones and helicopters that frequently violated Pakistani territory, so I don't know why you're pretending that this never occurred

Myself in particular always criticized Pakistan's lack of response.

If strike isn't responded to, Pakistan will be allowing a weaker power to walk all over it.

It was a coordinated operations that we did it before in 70 s and 80s against Baloch separatists.

With permission.

There will be a reaction, god only knows what and when. The timing of the attack and choice of weapons by Iran is deeply regrettable.

Lol, America neutered Russia. Don’t make silly comparisons.

My firend launching ballistic missiles against a sovereign nation is an act of war. Simple!
This must be treated as such as well. Not war but at least retaliation is a must. Or else this will set a new precedent and india will use this to justify their misadventures.

Saner minds need to prevail here, escalation and militarily responding is not a good idea for either countries.

Iran needs to come out and apologise for this violation and for the deaths of the children. The families of those killed should be compensated.

Iran and Pak need to improve their co-ordination in terms of dealing with terrorist threats both sides of the border. The current engagement is clearly not working. Paks civilian and military leadership at inept, they have done little to deal with terrorism within Pak I have not much faith they will do anything concrete to prevent this type of action from occuring again.

The middle east is already in somewhat of a flame we can't have Pak getting drawn into this as well. Especially fighting other muslim countries, this is exactly what enemy countries would like to see.

For someone who has only just seen this thread - what sites and locations did they hit Pakistan?

That is what concerns me, this style of attack has forced Pakistans hand. No one can tell what the response will be.

Our own former ACM Sohail Aman was on record that the PAF was unable to shoot US drones. PAF was unable to face off the Americans. He changed his statement after immense criticism.
