Ukraine would be free to trade with west and even buy western weapons but No. 2 with Nato was a red line.

It was actually a very good deal for Ukraine as it would have meant that they would have made them more homogenous with nearly all loyal to Russia no longer being part of their country.

Actually I think it was Poland where nearly all Jews of 3 million were massacred by the Germans in WW2.

Before WW2, Jews were 10% of Poland's population.

Any equipment losses can be replaced, the russians have never really cared about how many troops they lose and they are now pushing across the entire front and the Ukrainians are starting to crumble
