-- Teacher Lieutenant Nagihan Karakuş became European Champion in the 65 kilogram K-1 branch,

-- Teacher Lieutenant Zeliha Doğan became European Champion in the 52 kilogram Low Kick branch,

-- Air Teacher Lieutenant Emre Korkmaz became 3rd in Europe in the 67 kilogram Low Kick branch.

This was last week, as Greece and Turkey work towards improving ties.

It seems to have caused some friction inside the current New Democracy ruling party, with the former Prime Minister attacking the current Foreign Minister and ending up getting expelled from the Party.

Yes,well basically Samaras used to criticize many of Mitsotakis' policies the last couple of years and well basically he just shared the opinion of many others who voted for ND.
For example the whole homosexual weddings and adoption rights thing,the fact that Mitsotakis didn't negate,but instead supported the Prespes agreement (it was signed by SYRIZA before Mitsotakis came to power)and the blunders of the government since 2023 when it comes to the Greek-Turkish relations.

Basically,Samars protested and criticized the fact that Mitsotakis is making New Democracy into a centrist party with changing it completely from a right-wing conservative party that it had been since the '80s.

Of course many current ministers and MPs rushed to boo Samaras and pledge their full support to the leader,like good yes-men. This party has people who used to be ardent patriots or even nationalists,some who used to talk all day about the country,the faith,the history and now they've changed their opinions in most of the things they believed in or talked about all day for years. I guess they love their chairs in the parliament.

No Govt in Greece will reverse Prespa agreement, its an unreasonable ask, b/c you will get in trouble with the EU and US who want to integrate the balkans into the EU/NATO.

Seems to me you would rather have some sort of confrontation or Greece to do something unilaterally provocative, which would be a miscalculation on your part if you ask me.
