I think folks need to step back a bit.

Pakistan's options are limited vis-a-via Iran. The Persians know it.

Both the Afghans and the Persians can sense blood now. They are historical entities and are playing the long game. Islamabad's hold on Balochistan and KPK is withering.

Hopefully this doesn't stop the oil smuggling from Iran. Many within the security establishment with a more entrepreneurial outlook depend on those billions.

Where has “doing nothing” been officially mentioned? like I said, this is a public space, these are extremely sensitive matters, matters of national security. They are not discussed Willy nilly.

And you are right to be angry and upset, in fact that fire in your belly shows you love your nation and are angry by this affront.

No quarrel there at all, you are right and i hope you moderate accordingly.

I will speak in generalities, but if you build up the reputation you have to earn it now and again with any audience, I am sure a path is being considered to find an optimal route for this, but this is a totally new vector which portends to two worrying possibilities, either Iran wants to sow chaos everywhere and no problem let's bring Pakistan into it, or Pakistan really is no big deal they won't do nothing.

If they wanted to wantonly sow chaos, why the specific choice of these three nations.

Why not Turkey.

Why not strikes on the Saudis.

Why not Israel? 2 nuclear states instead of one. More chaos!
