Seems like fighting has become slightly less intense. Notable drop in Hezbollah rocket launches in recent days.

Israeli airstrikes continue (including in Beirut almost daily) but are also less intense / frequent.
Sounds like Israel and Hezbollah don't really want to fight each other, but they are motivated to fight each other to support their respective objectives and values in the Gaza war.

Sounds like the Lebanese army should have been fighting Israel along with Hezbollah since day 1 or day 2 of this Gaza war.

Lets see how the Lebanese army reacts if and when Israel violates the Lebanese govt directly.

That kind of mentality got Nasrallah killed and lead to a wide-scale sudden assault on Lebanon, giving the enemy an advantage. This is a existential war for Hezbollah and I hope they see it that way. They're not going to spare Hezbollah if Hezbollah withdraws from the Gaza conflict. Hezbollah would be better off to fight with heart and ferocity.

The Israeli's don't have a stomach for a ferocious fight. But they will gladly try to apply pressure on civilians of Lebanon and the State of Lebanon to see how far Hezbollah will stand down and what concessions they can get. This time they're trying to get more than 1701 resolution. Sending that kind of message that you aren't wanting to fight each other is a bad one. And it's even worse if in your heart you don't have that inclination to crush Israel like Hamas did with the execution of Toofan Al-Aqsa operation, that everyone else in region should be having. In order to bring Israel to its knees.

Sooner or later Trump will need to decide if he wants to decrease the wars under his term or increase the never-ending wars (against his promises)

Never ending wars trembles every Republican and Democrat.
