Makes me wish I was there. I attended the PTI dharna in Islamabad in 2014 and also went to several rallies in various cities. The attendees on these occasions were the cream of Pakistan, very civilized, law abiding and good people. I have very good memories.

Former prime minister Imran Khan’s spouse Bushra Bibi, in a brief address to PTI rally participants, reiterated her call for the party founder’s release as the convoy from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa entered Islamabad’s limits on Monday.

“My brothers, as long as Imran is not with us, we will not end this march,” she said while addressing supporters at a stop near the Hazara Interchange. “I will stay there till my last breath, and all of you have to support me. This is not just about my husband but about the country and its leader.”

It's not peaceful if you remove the barriers by force and kill policeman .

Awwww! So how on earth protestors can protest or even move forward or put pressure if they don't remove barriers ?

Secondly, who knows maybe even agency guys killed policeman, why would protestors do that when they are actually greived party and they want to reach at their destination. Its not in their advantage to kill police and invite onslaught of bullets to them.

Lastly, you steal entire mandate of the nation, you do regime change, you torture family members of judges, you change political affiliations on gun point, you throw national leaders in jails on total bogus & political cases and when people say enough is enough then all of a sudden you behave civil, legal, state writ and all. What an absolute clown you are. Wake up to reality, Develop enough guts to speak truth and be at the side of right.

The only solution to Pakistan's constant instability is that Military returns to the barracks and just do its job.

And who allowed Military establishment to do all that? Are they elected by people? Or they just think they own us or are our betters?

It's the time of our new generation, establishment boomers will soon get hit with a brick wall.

The 'establishment' is not a centralised power (Army). Although the Army is the most powerful institution in Pakistan and is therefore part of the establishment, this part is necessary to balance out the power of the other elements of the establishment (feudals and tribal leaders, for example). If you want to see what unchecked feudal influence does then just pay a visit to interior Sindh or Balochistan.

Iraqis, similar to Pakistanis in their fits of emotional rage, systematically dismantled their Army in an attempt to remove the evil Saddam regime and magically fix all the country's problems. All this did was destroy the peace in Iraq and castrate the country for decades to come. Today the once mighty Iraq is still trampled upon by neigbouring powers like Iran and Israel. Many Iraqis regret their emotional fits of rage. (I admit this even though I am anti-saddam due to his pro-India stance on Kashmir).

The current mess is entirely the fault of the generals, who meddled in politics and installed to power a populist taliban-loving cult they lost control of.

But the majority of PTI supporters and Pakistanis don't think in this way. They are like the Iraqis - uninformed and high on emotions and want to lash out their anger upon a single bogeyman, thinking this will magically fix all of Pakistan's problems.
