Always been that but he has both plants and “giraien” in establishment who like his brand and “detente” with him(until they don’t).

The assumption here is that everyone in the establishment is looking to just preserve the system for their profits when in reality its a hodgepodge of opportunists, corrupt ones, careerists or plain people looking to make their bills - interspersed with those who truly love this country, its potential but also are well versed in warfare and systems to know when it’s worth making a stand and where it’s better to plant clandestine seeds or wait for other opportunities.

They all hear the same music from PTI supporters - see both opportunities or disgust at the current setup - and all have loved ones and families they need to calculate it all against. But revolutionaries expect them to be superhumans while they don’t even have numbers to stand up to semi motivated or plain scared to death rangers - and their leadership runs away trying to switch sides or in the case of Melisandre happy to be her exact character in game of thrones.

People are not sheep. They want to see their voices heard and live in an interference free society.
