Deals for 26 Rafale-M jets, three Scorpene submarines to be signed by next month: Navy Chief

well after wasting more than 25 years IAF is finally understanding that its obsession to get Russian or French fighters ONLY or for that matter maybe a few US made once had cripelling efects on its future plans

having said that the plans laid down in good old days of last AB Vajabi govt are finally getting clearer than ever after almot 25 years and now after much scuttling IAF knows if it wants to be a potent force and not wants itself to be bullied by France/Europe or Americans or the Russians they will have to have LCA type projects in full force

so here is what its going to be like

all Su30's that could be upgradable (235) maybe will be upgraded with new engines, radar &avionick and weapons

so will be all remaing Mig29s and Mirage2000 in similar way

40+83+97 LCA in various trenches
and AMCA.... i think MK2 will only be a test bed for AMCA

while 36+36+26 rafale while 64 at later stage while 36 Su57

rest everything will be talk talk and more fancy talk ........Jai ho bahi log

The way we find that 'Super Sukhoi' Su30 is continued to be used for nuclear weapons operations, Rafale didn't fulfill the expectations. During last century, the Mirage2000h was used for the purpose.....
Using Rafale within Indian territory is very sad. Rafale must be proved to useful to cross border of China - Pakistani 🙂

Let that Chinese junk join first and then feel bad about us....
Did you even bother to read my post, before reply with this, and insulting me in other posts?

You literally ignored my entire point.

USAF will obviously take it seriously.... they have a habit of showing a scare crow to squeeze more funds.....

No matter what you say I will never trust any Chinese 5th generation against western fighters like Rafale or Typhoons or even F16Vs.....

Imagine if India was Chinese ally and buying J10 and Pakistan fielding western fighters all we would have heard how India buying Chinese junk.....

Just because they're your supplier doesn't make their products are invincible.... if it was the case by now China would have captured Arunachal Pradesh or ladakh.....

And my argument is not even about what are you buying.... it was just to wake up that poster from his lalala dreamland..... not a single J31 in service.... we don't even know how will be the geopolitics in next 5 years and he is already on high blood pressure and feeling bad for India..... let that psudeco Chinese 5th generation join we will discuss then..... this thread is about Indian naval procurement.....
It all depends upon the perception then - I told you before. You’re biased to the hilt and cannot see the actual point - which was your military and bureaucracy indecision leads you to actually pay more for less in getting equipment that may not be relevant in the long run.

You’re assuming China’s strategic posturing and compulsions as some reflection on their equipment quality - which is another example of bias.

The problem is not what IN is buying - it’s the value for money. The Rafale is a great choice - not at this price and delivery timeframe.

But - as Pakistanis know well - beggars cannot be choosers. Say what you want regarding Chinese quality - they built it all inhouse and if needed can churn out products faster.

Chinese don’t trust their equipment enough to take back Taiwan, forget taking back laddakh.

We can always buy F35 or su57 in short timeframes if the requirement really arises

Ecatly, and the funny part of the story, you fan-boys already clear this not yet done deal as if these mystical-magical Rafales would anyway beat everything regardless the limited numbers! … and on top of this, the lift & hangar issue is still not solved the question, when they will be delivered. :ROFLMAO:

It‘s really funny how much wrong can be in such a short reply!

First, to take back Taiwan depends not on the quality or not of a certain Chinese fighter but solely on the political will to do it now …. And at the moment there is no need to take it now! That you funny fan-boys try to interpret this as a lack of faith in these systems makes it only more ironic.

Second, China has no will to take Laddackh, as long as they can keep you busy in this area, urge you to invest and even more to humiliate you repeatedly at low own cost, it is already a win!

And finally, You cannot „buy F35 or su57 in short timeframes“, first since the F-35 is connected to high costs and the need to get rid of at least the most important Russian systems and to rejoin the Su-57 program would be only another embarrassment even more so since neither the US would nor Russia could deliver „soon“.

But again, keep on dreaming you fan-boys‘ wet-dreams and feel fine!🤡

There's no such lift issue or even if it is there in a certain angle it accommodate the jet.... Indian navy will not make such mistake this is pure rumor.....

How to become a VIP member bro?

Okay monetary contributions. I was wondering if its qualify of posts which doesn't look the case here....
There is - that’s think tank and TTA and you do have the ability to post well - what’s really needed is to ditch the nationalism unless you really see a need for it to drive a point.

The more you accept that everything online is 1’s and 0’s - none of what you say here matters in reality to what IAF or PAF or SRK does and its more a case of an agreed “contract” between us to discuss things so we can think in more ways.

Na pera paisa lag raha hai bakwas karne mein na tumhara paise lag raha hai intellectual convo mein. But in the end it is more rewarding in the long run to do the latter even if the former offers more instant gratification of India stronk or China stronk.

Back to the topic it is really great to see we will eventually have 9 Scorpenes..... a deadly western SSK..... I hope these 3 are coming with AIP..... navy seems serious about submarines.

One more SSBN may join December or in January..... another western SSK either S80 or U214 may join in upcoming decade.....

Only worrisome part is Kilo submarines will be on the verge of retirement by the time all submarines are delivered.... so ultimately numbers won't grow much but capability wise it will be a quantum jump.....
