In 2014 it was different. A lot of the Iraqi soldiers were tricked and then gathered together and executed. They tricked them into believing they could leave freely,some were to be transported somewhere and then executed.

If they get Russia out of the way then the US can start its own war in the region without much resistance instead of the IDF doing the fighting.
The SDF retreated peacfully from Aleppo to Raqa further east. The city is now entrily controlled by the HTS.
Additional tidbit of information that may help you understand the situation better: the Turkish flag was flown today over the Aleppo Citadel.

I mean like the US will start a ground invasion after everything is set and done to install a puppet government that's in favor of Israel. U have to understand Israel doesn't have to own the land to rule the land. But who knows maybe they will extend far beyond the Golan heights.

I still think that Iran and Russia have to much to lose if they let Assad fall. Iran has shown in the past that it doesn't have any problem sending in Iraqis, Afghans, Lebanese, irgc officers and more to fight their battle in Syria. Russia also still has military assets it can use.

For Iran specifically losing Syria will be a death blow to their regional strategy, especially hezbollah after taking damage from fighting a year long war against Israel. Yes it will be costly helping Assad but not helping him will lead to possible collapse of the axis of resistance.

Look, there is 2 options. HTS is not bothered with what Turkey wants, they are going Hama, Humus. Using momentum to grab as many areas they could until the help arrives (if it arrives). SNA is our lapdog, there is a possibility that they can attack Manbij.
However, it's not going to be easy as Tell Rıfat. At Tell Rıfat they got surronded and been attacked from Aleppo where they didn't had any defences to face incoming attack (their defences were facing Northern direction)
Manbij is different, their supply lines are open and their defences facing the direction of attack. So if they decide to stay and fight it's gonna be a bloody fight for SNA. Don't expect Manbij to fall in a few weeks.
2nd option is to withdraw to east of eupharates and not putting a fight.
