There is another aspect - Unlike India and Pakistan who have guns aimed at each other’s throats but also have de-escalation mechanisms from the local level all the way to the highest point - Iran and Pakistan have no such robust structures even though they have extremely porous borders at times marked by just stones on the ground.

I think with the elements that operate on both sides this is a serious oversight by both countries. @RescueRanger @Persian Gulf

If anything this incident may highlight why there has to be even more “red telephones” between Iran and Pakistan border and military forces instead of relying on each others “brotherly” history.

After all - the first murder was of brothers

How many sarmachars btw ? we already saw one running in the video...... So it means they were living with their full families ?
7 baluchi sunni sarchamars in total (maybe 1 family?) and possibly illegals.
Saravan is the location of many attacks, presumably by Baloch insurgents.
  • Justice Judge Ebrahim Karimi was assassinated
  • Rare suicide bombing kills four
  • October 26, 2013: About 20 Iranian border guards are killed in an attack by rebel Baloch bandits near Pakistan border.

Except I don't believe Iran and its non-citizen bull crap to appease its own populace.

More unprofessional conduct from a forum “moderator”.

You are a Pakistani living in the US. Open a map and look at the region at the center of this discussion. This is Baluchistan which is a semi autonomous regions covering both sides of the border. Most Iranians never even travel to these regions unless deployed by military.

Very remote. Very improvished on both sides. Much like the Kurdish insurgents that span Turkey, Syria, and Iraq, and Iran they fight for seperatist ideals usually backed by foreign intelligences of US, Israel, India, etc. to cause chaos for both sides.

It is quite common in that region to have undocumented people who hide in either country to avoid the security forces of the other.

It’s the wild Wild West in that area.

Do you expect their families to be living in palace in Dubai? Where else would their families live? These are poor mountain and desolate based insurgents.

Yes fully agreed. If we can move on from this episode, we need to work on building lines of communication.

Don't knew very soon we have an air Defence war game they might have relation to it specially that those type of missiles are serious waste of resources if used against Jaish-al-adl terrorist that at most are 100-150 km away. Those missiles can easily reach eastern Pakistan

Pakistan has 3X the amount of Ballistic Missiles that Iran has, and all very accurate. What does the Iran think it is?? It attacked Pakistan , its an act of WAR! If Iran further escalates then Pakistan shouldn't think long about striking hard and this time IRGC directly.
Come on

There is already plenty of lines of communication. This is erroneous logic assuming there isn’t.

The area in question are remote villages where Pakistan doesn’t have stationed security forces, outside of some desolate and improvised border posts sprinkled along the border most of this area lawless.

There was nothing to communicate. Both sides have done cross border strikes (usually with artillery) in past years.

Pakistan just made a mountain out of an ant hill regarding long standing border insecurities on both sides. Neither sides wants to deploy enough military forces to clear the region and wants the other side to clear theirs first.

In reality neither Pakistan cares about these remote villages nor does Iran. It’s all political theater. These are poor regions with little resources thus central governments don’t really care too much about the people there.

China is trying to invest in the region to hopefully raise standard of living and stop having youth get brainwashed towards these terrorist ground. Both Pakistan and Iran need to raise standard of living in this region to have people expel the terrorists. Pakistan has economic problems and Iran has its own share. So not enough money to go around.

I dont agree with the initial assertion fully but do agree with latter in spirit.

Most of that region do not have Iranian citizenship
Usually people travel in day light. Heavily infested area from Baluch nationalist. Iran force move in secured convoy in that region. Its been like this since 1971.

Now ball is in Iran's court. By the looks of it, they are going to brush it under the carpet (No Iranians killed etc) and move on.

Yeah seeing as Pakistan wisely didnt attack IRGC or Refineries like we kept hearing then there is no need...but the terrorist attacks need to stop, from both sides, or this will continue and the ball will be back in your court.
