The tribe/clan in question is the Shammar tribe as per reports. One of the oldest and most influential ancient Arab tribes. Very numerous in KSA, Iraq, Syria and spread in much of the Arab world. They used to be fiercely anti-ISIS and were much targeted by them but prevailed in both Syria and Iraq.

For those interested in history, they not long ago had a Kingdom spanning from Eastern Syria to Najd called Jabal Shammar which was allied with the Ottomans.

There is a Shammar mountain range in Najd as well hence the name "Jabal" Shammar.

Their marriage with the SDF was an marriage of convenience because ISIS and the Al-Assad regime was the bigger enemy/threat and nobody can blame them for it or other local Arabs of Eastern and northern Syria.

However now with the Al-Assad regime gone and ISIS gone, a divorce is in store.
