Syrian Civil War and The future of Syria after liberation

Lmao mandarin is a language not a race. Majority of people in china are han Chinese. Even china back in the cold war still had more impact on the world than some Muslim countries today. We participated in many proxy wars and won all of them from Korea to Vietnam . 😂 The battlefields will be won but not what u wanted to see lol china has always been the center of the universe even dated back to ancient silk road. All roads lead to Beijing.

I'm a pro-China person and I'm not trying to put down China. All I'm trying to do is to point out the hypocrisy of those who are gloating over problems in Muslim countries, like Christians, Indians, and Chinese.

China is very uniform in culture and religion because it did a mass slaughter of anyone with a different opinion. During Mao's Great Leap Forward during 1958-1962 15-55 million people were killed. So, China killed off anyone with a difference in opinion while in Muslim countries everyone is still alive and arguing.

The same is true in Europe. It is uniform in ethnicity, religion, and culture because historically they killed off anyone with a difference of opinion. E.g. in Spain they committed total genocide of the 800-year-old Muslim civilization.

In contrast, Muslim countries have a lot of diversity in race, ethnicity, culture, food, language etc. It is a big strength and sometimes a weakness.

Yes, the bias is so strong that China is the largest trade partner of most Arab countries.

Even Mandarin has become a widely taught language within Saudi Arabian schools.

China was irrelevant on the world stage just 40 years ago so it is not exactly strange that the West had and continues to wield the most influence in the Muslim and Arab world. Geography and history is also at play here.

There are not many US bases in the Arab world. They can be counted on 1 hand and they have all been invited by local governments and benefit those local governments.

Only exception is Syria and Iraq for obvious reasons.

China would love to have bases in one of the most strategic and resource rich areas on the planet (Arab world)? Are you serious?

Do you know that one of the few Chinese bases abroad are located in Djibouti? The same country that hosts US, French, Saudi Arabian, Emirati etc. bases?

KSA and China have closer ties military than most Muslim nations. I suggest to study those relations in the past 35 years. Not to the extend like Pakistan (due to the India factor and geography) but more than 99% of all Muslim nations.

For starters look at who helped Saudi Arabia develop our local ballistic missile production, helped construct numerous ballistic missile bases scattered across our mountains and deserts. Look at the strategic missile purchases from as far as 35 years ago.

FFS, just look at what the actual Chinese LEADERSHIP (PRESIDENT) is saying about China-KSA (ARAB) relations. The Chinese regime has a separate Arab policy paper.

Mutual trade was 250 billon USD (!) last year.

Chinese President speech a few months ago:

Really, people are ignorant.

BTW, there are huge yearly China-Arab cooperation meetings, councils etc. I think some Muslim Hui majority province in China even host such meetings on a yearly basis.

From 6 years ago.

No offense, but it appears that I am wasting my time and in any case we are off-topic, so sorry for that one.

No need to get upset. Arab-China relations look very shiny when you tunnel vision them but put them side by side with Arab-NATO relations and the difference is clear. Talk is cheap all these meetings and lip service doesn't change reality is not measurable.

China has had the greatest economic rise in history I didn't mention any economic difference between west-Arab and China-Arab relations. The economic relations are less relevant in this regard - hence I pointed out the defence cooperation in particular.

To address the defence cooperation specifically lets the Saudi-China ballistic missile compare that to the airplanes for the Saudi airforce. How much $ went into western airforce equipment vs. Chinese? Likewise with UAE, even after recognizing Israel and offering to buy F-35 the UAE got a middle finger on the F-35s. Did UAE approach China for a stealth aircraft?

Regarding the bases, yes I did know about Chinese base in Djibouti but if everyone has a base there it's not really that unique. Meanwhile here's a map of official US bases in the region (2021 so might be a little out of date):

Invited or not they have a massive presence in Arab lands whereas China has 0. I will disagree with you about China wanting to have bases there due to China wanting to distinguish itself from America. I don't think the Chinese want bases there because they claim they don't want to be a military hegemon. If offered I wouldn't be surprised if they took it though.

Nusayris (those that have had nothing to do with the crimes of the Al-Assad regimes for the past 50 + years) should be left alone and treated fairly as per common sense, human decency, Islamic traditions and Syrian and Arab traditions of hospitality and treatment.

However I don't want to hear fairytales from a certain sect and its members, that they are Muslim when they are not and don't consider themselves as Muslims and never had.

All scholars throughout Islamic history, from the beginning of that sect/cult (Started by Ibn Nusayr 1200 years ago), whether Sunni or Shia, considered them as Ghulat.

It was only due to politics that Musa Al-Sadr started/attempted to give them legitimacy among the Twelvers.

Since we are on a Pakistani forum, I suggest listening to this speech by Yasir Qadhi.

Almost everything relevant is explained in that video. Also how a deeply disliked, largely illiterate and violent community like the Nusayris came to rule Syria (courtesy of the French occupiers).

Any indication some of the minorities are fleeing the country, perhaps to their co-religionists in Lebanon or Iraq, not taking the word of the new rulers on face value?
Not really, actually so far they are relieved due they paid high price as main front meat for assad regime.

The Trump administration has consistently and strongly asserted that it wants nothing to do with Syria. So I don't think they will support the Kurds at this time. However, as you know, the deep state often operates separately from the presidency, so we will see. I know the Israelis want to secretly support the Kurds.
I think Trump administration will want no part of Syria mess unless there is strong evidence that some sort of ISIS or Al-Qaeda might crop up.

Turkeys foreign ministry condemned Israel's entry into the buffer zone, accusing it of an "occupying mentality" during a "sensitive period, when the possibility of achieving the peace and stability the Syrian people have desired for many years has emerged".

This buffer zone, also known as the Area of Separation was set up as part of Israel's ceasefire agreement with Syria in 1974 to keep Israeli and Syrian forces separated, following Israel's earlier occupation of the Golan Heights.

Israel unilaterally annexed the Golan in 1981. The move was not recognised internationally, although the US did so unilaterally in 2019.

Israel, Seeing an Opportunity, Demolishes Syria’s Military Assets

Israel capitalized on the power vacuum in Syria to bomb targets across the country, saying it aims to keep weapons away from extremists.

The aftermath on Tuesday of an overnight strike on the Barzah scientific research center, which had been linked to the Syrian government’s chemical weapons program.

As soon as it became clear on Sunday that there would be regime change in neighboring Syria, Israel began a sweeping aerial campaign.

By Tuesday, at least 350 airstrikes had leveled military assets across Syria, taking out the Navy, fighter jets, drones, tanks, air-defense systems, weapons plants and a wide array of missiles and rockets, according to the Israeli military.

Israeli officials said they were destroying weapons and military facilities to keep them out of the hands of Islamist extremists. The rebel group that led the toppling of the president, Bashar al-Assad, was formerly linked to Al Qaeda and is still designated as a terrorist group by the United States and the United Nations.
