What steps are being taken to deal with new Israeli occupation of Syrian land?
There is not much possible that can be done(by syria itself atleast, what you need is a coalition of outside partners working the diplomatic front. and creating pressure), if I'm being quite frank, there is no real capacity to fight Israel, and in many cases, it is likely a trap for them to use that as a basis for pushing deeper into Syria. What you can do is limit the damage, by digging into the sunni areas south and solidifying that you do have(but not attacking them), and by dispersing the weapons still surviving, and moving things underground as well as deeper into Syria(preferably in Idlib under Turkish cover, where it becomes harder for any adversary to operate without coming into contact with Turkish Air Defense and airspace(its one of the reasons as to why Iran was putting a shitton of stuff all the way north in Aleppo, to complicate things for the Israelis to have to launch operations, while avoiding Hatay province and Russian controlled localized Khemiem airspace).
The Country is still not consolidated, between the different rebel factions, there is the threat of a Coastal separatist state with two russian bases nearby, and then there is the PKK in the North East with the US base.
Everyone is obsessing over a mountain peak held by the Zionist entity, 1/3 of the country is still not under the control of Damascus.
The current priorities are to stabilize and consolidate what you have and take control over the oil fields for revenue for the state(you will need as much as you can get considering the free/Subsidized Oil supply to the SAA held areas from Iran is gone)
This has been partially done with the oil fields in Deir Ez Zor south of the Euphrates being taken as well as the Oil Fields in Palmayra.
The next step is for the SNA faction to take the PKK areas with Turkish support. Only once you have control over 100% of the country you can do something more significant.
