The events in Syria and Lebanon, more than anywhere else, have a direct impact on the conflict in Gaza and thus, at least in short term, Gazan resistance is all but winding down and it is Advantage Israel. Already the Resistance was fighting Israel, NATO and its Arab allies for more than year and with the northern front quieter, I fear it is only a matter of time for the Gazans. But who knows about the medium or longer term but guess is Israel will not find the peace it really needs.
PS. And also the events in Syria/Lebanon show that there should not have been so many different threads about the ongoing conflicts in the Middle East: They are all one and the same.

I completely agree, and it seems our thinking links at specific points. As you stated at the end, I feel that there aren't three separate conflicts but a series of battles in a war in its totality.

See the link below; these talks didn't just happen overnight. They were happening from day one, in close coordination with Arab regimes and Israel. I had this feeling from day one when the Jordanians allowed air space to be used in defense of Israel, and they were too involved in shooting down missiles. But these same regimes have no issue with their space being used to hit outside Israel, let alone defend against Israel fighters crossing; the hypocrisy is amazing.

I never saw anyone defend the Arabs and their cause in a European society like Galloway; he sacrificed a lot of political mileage for them with nothing to show for in return.
