Syrian Civil War and The future of Syria after liberation

Why do you think the Middle East is so futked up? It’s disgraceful and shouldn’t be tolerated. Our enemies use it to separate and divide us. Btw I’m Sunni too
I came across this interesting chart that may hint at something:

If you look carefully, you see that Turkey, Azerbaijan, Palestine, Lebanon are all far less religious than people think. What that suggests is there is a lot of hypocrisy, and the supposed unity of faith is a mirage.

I am Sunni too, this sectarianism bs is despicable and counterproductive. As a forum we should not meddle in it from a religious perspective, but it’s okay to discuss them from a political perspective I think.

I don’t care whether someone is Sunni, Shia, Ismaili, or Alawite. The differences are for Allah to sort out not us.

If a Sunni is allying with Israel and a Alawite is fighting and resisting Israel, the Sunni is a pos to me and the Alawite is more honorable.
Alawite are not Muslims. They have nothing to do with Islam. If you're a Sunni and believe in the basics of Islam then you would realize it by a little research.

Dignity of Muslims by killing them in hundreds of thousands and displacing in millions. Raping muslim women and keeping them in notorious jails. Fk that cult

It’s obvious that Muslim countries are part of the problem. I think that regime change is required in almost all Muslim countries, starting with Pakistan.

Turkey is not a traitor. They’re one of a handful of Muslim countries with democratically elected governments. They are acting within their ability. Turkey cannot be put in the same category as actual puppets like Egypt or UAE.

Turkey is accused of having relations with the West etc. Yes, it does. It’s trying to balance many different things like the economy, military, politics, etc. It hasn’t gone into isolationist mode like Iran. Turkey has a 600+ years history of having relations with Europe while fighting wars as well. Historically Turkey was accepted as a European power. There’s a long history of Turkey invading Europe and ruling over large chunks of Eastern Europe.

It’s ridiculous to expect Turkey to cut itself off from Europe and to become part of a bunch of squabbling headless chickens in the Muddled East. We should be glad that it is getting involved in Muslim affairs again.
You really started off good, until you said "Turkey is not a traitor....."..uhh!!!! by saying that, you are exposing the fact that many think thats what Turkey is in the Muslim world- even after this Syria fiasco you say Turkey is not a traitor? after Turkey kept supplying the Israeli genocide machinery to grind down the Palestinians in Gaza? Damn.

Israel plans to expand Golan settlements after fall of Assad

Israel's government has approved a plan to encourage the expansion of settlements in the occupied Golan Heights.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the move was necessary because a "new front" had opened up on Israel's border with Syria after the fall of the Assad regime to an Islamist-led rebel alliance.

Netanyahu said he wanted to double the population of the Golan Heights, which Israel seized during the 1967 Six-Day War and is considered illegally occupied under international law.

Israeli forces moved into a buffer zone separating the Golan Heights from Syria in the days following Assad's departure, saying the change of control in Damascus meant ceasefire arrangements had "collapsed".

There are more than 30 Israeli settlements in the Golan Heights, which are home to an estimated 20,000 people. They are considered illegal under international law, which Israel disputes.

The settlers live alongside some 20,000 Syrians, most of them Druze Arabs who did not flee when the area came under Israeli control.

Netanyahu said Israel would "continue to hold on to [the territory], make it flourish and settle it".

The Americans and Brits are cuddling HTS.

UK in diplomatic contact with Syrian rebels, says Lammy

UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy has said the British government has had "diplomatic contact" with the Syrian rebel group that toppled the Assad regime.

Lammy said Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) remains a proscribed terrorist organisation, but the UK "can have diplomatic contact and so we do have diplomatic contact, as you would expect".

His US counterpart Antony Blinken said on Saturday that the US had made "direct contact" with the HTS rebels now in control of Syria.

Lammy's remarks come as the government announced a £50m humanitarian aid package for vulnerable Syrians, including refugees in the region.
