IDEAS-2024 (HRK)

Apparently, GIDS was the leader this time for technological advancements in IDEAS due to big ticket items, whereas for me personally, WOOT and NRTC are the MVPs. A lot of their tech has gone unnoticed as compared to GIDS. Very interesting advancements with many more to come, InshaAllah.

It's really interesting and surprising seeing WOOT delve into miniature cruise missiles.

I'm wondering if it's a sign that the 'scorty' controls are being reformed to enable more and more private sector companies to access miniature turbojets, guidance stacks, and other tech from SPD orgs @JamD

I notice blk 3 has improved hotas control, hi DEF LED displays and overall excellent MMI. A very neatly designed cockpit without spending a fortune.

On a sidenote PEC is an excellent acquisition by PAF. Will serve the military aviation for years to come. A solid step before pushing PFX from drawing board to jigs and SBP development.

Maybe unofficially. I know of a very bad ongoing experience about legally importing miniature turbojets.

It is easy to do things illegally in Pakistan, especially if the right people allow it - but you knew that. But no official change in policy.

Is Woot Tech using their indigenous engine?

what do you count as a cruise missile though... woot seems to count missiles with 10kg warheads as such 👀

If it's got an air-breathing engine and can cross 50 km in range is a cruise missile to me... a 10 kg warhead isn't big, but it's big enough for a soft enough target (like some other guy using a loitering munition or 'cruise missile').

MFD Displays look the same to me. some MMI changes in the user interface for sure, and of course, new HUD.

I think WOOT tech is a front to a military owned enterprise alike GIDS. So not sure about private companies role in this. Our armed forces have something against private owned weapon manufacturing companies for no apparent reason. They do not allow local private companies to grow in this sector, but keep propping up fronts to their own companies to capture a more diverse market share. So the thing about tech being used inter company is also understandable because all of it is ultimately owned by the state, hence not surprising rather logical.

Very conservative figures. I know this. Ak1 is clearly conservative as it withstood 550mm round without ERA. Modified is Haider.
