Faaz 1 is very clearly an SD-10 that has likely been tweaked/reworked.

The PAF's SD10A have been delivered from local sources since theyre produced domestically in Pakistan under license.

I guess if GIDS is quoting 100km range vs the 70km of the SD-10A, it will have been re worked. Faaz 2 is just further modification of the same thing. They both share their lineage down to the SD-10A- so naturally theyre probably full to the brim of Chinese components. What we will likely gradually see is a local seeker, warhead, maybe reworked flight control stuff whle they try to step away from the Chinese lineage, in the same way India and China did with ASTRA and SD10 in its initial stages.

The pace of work and its exhibition in Zuhai Shows is itself a proof that Air craft is mature and now ready to play its role. Now it all depends on production line and manufacturing speed. China is known for its swift assembly .
Then I see no big reason of this 5th Generation Fighter joining PAF soon in 24 months.

i wonder why everyone keeps missing other key details- you're not just picking up the aircraft and dropping it into airbases. Infrastructure will need to be developed, maintenance will need to be trained, PAF training and tactics will need to be reworked. J-10 contract was signed later, but do you know how early on crews were in China? That too, for an already operational aircraft, the J35 doesnt even exist in a fully mature non prototype form yet...

China's relationship with Pakistan isn't all that special; Pakistanis like to pretend otherwise, but China thinks of Pakistan as a useful sucker.

if China's relationship with Pakistan isn't that special than how come we get their military hardware on soft loans which they don't offer to any other country. Pakistan and China's relationship in the domain of military hardware in higher than any other..

don't forget that there are two variants of FAAZ 1..the RADAR seeker one and the IIR seeker.I think that FAAZ has gone through major design changes to take the shape of FAAZ -IIR

Faaz is literally a re worked SD-10. We do not have the capacity to this suddenly design something from scratch. The entire reason WVRAAM's are typically designed VERY differently from BVRAAMs is the different mode of operation- theyre designed for close quarter, high energy, high g stuff, whereas bvraams tend to want to conserve energy, not pull crazy manoeuvres etc. Just remember, unofficially the amraam is quoted as being able to pull 28-35g's whereas 9X is rated to 100g's.

The IR version is purely a thing because we do have local IIR seekers, its just an SD10A with new seeker- arguably itll be quite a poor WVRAAM and lag seriously behind current gen missiles

I don't understand your point..are you trying to say that it will be a poor WVRAAM because it accommodates IIR seeker or it will be poor because the seeker which is made by Pakistan is poor..and would you say the same for French MICA missiles which comes in two variant just like FAAZ

Itll be a poor WVRAAM because its not actually a WVRAAM. The PAF also has never indicated it wants a long range IRAAM for BVR shots because the PAF has never ever been modelled after those soviet doctrine of multiple missile with varying guidance per target.

The MICA IR and RF probably make similar compromises. You cant be good at both missions, youre either excellent at one, or just ok at both. Even the MICA IR can only pull around 50g, once again, vs the 100g of the aim 9x/adarter.

China offers soft loans to plenty of countries for both civil and military infrastructure. What are you talking about?

Why do you think the west keeps screeching about debt diplomacy (which they themselves engage in), when it comes to China?
