Yemen Civil War News and Discussion.. an evolving situation

Too bad Yemen's Houthis doesn't have enough number of missiles like Iran has to fire salvos of hundreds...

Imagine a hundred of those hypersonics with 1 ton warheads blowing up Israeli military bases, power plants, gas stations and military factories.

1 Yemeni Palestine-2 ballistic missile aimed at the heart of Tel Aviv

vs

Arrow-2, Arrow-3, David's Sling, Patriot, and US-operated THAAD ABM systems

--> result = the single Palestine-2 missile evades all interceptors and directly hits central Tel Aviv
Imagine if someone decides to really launch 500 of such and better missiles in one wave at valuable targets.

incredible footage of hypersonic missile warhead impacting in Tel Aviv

wow

craziest and best footage I have seen yet of a hypersonic warhead impacting in Tel Aviv (from Yemen)

2 successful BM strikes on Tel Aviv from Yemen in a row, in very small numbers (1-2 missiles per attack)

All incoming ballistic missile warheads are hypersonic when entering terminal phase by the time they reach target, due to thick atmosphere, the warhead is traveling almost 2000mph. A warhead travelling that fast in terminal phase all it needs is slightest movement to jink a interceptor. David Sling missile lacks the mini thrusters that a PAC-3 has which is why PAC-3 is very expensive. Also no Arrow 3's were launched which is weird.

I think they are using the word 'intercept' a bit generously here. Probably not enough momentum or energy was transferred to blow it way off course, if not blow it up. But the damage it caused suggests a fairly small explosion.
Ballistic missiles just don't make great strike weapons unlike a fighter carrying 2000lbs bombs. Compare the damage Israel does dropping bombs to Yemen and Iran dropping missiles. Iran's last strike used 200 missiles and Israel shrugged it off.

Imagine looking up in the sky and seeing this falling on you with this speed, not enough time to even shit your pants:

If that had to travel 2000 kilometers, bulk of its mass would be fuel, leaving only a small room for explosive. Then there is the question of control and targeting. These missiles look impressive in flight, but hitting random spot on ground rarely does much damage, even in a densely populated place like Israel. Israel will return the favors with a couple of bombers and take out a couple of ports and power stations leading to blackouts and food shortages. Absolute lunacy for Houthis and its backers to support this 'strategy'.

Yeah yeah yeah....anyone actually acting against zionists is bad and condemned but anyone working for zionist's interests is good.

The brave people of Yemen don't need your pity.

Note the propaganda of Israelis. They always show where their interceptors fell and touched the ground not the exact location of Yemeni warhead's impact.

Israel is a military base of USA, every Israeli helps propaganda machine of this cancerous tumor. Do not expect truth come out of this satanic shithole.

The problem is flying and owning fighter jets requires much more training, investment and infrastructure support... Also some economic stability and regular access to spare parts and munitions...

Therefore, the only option for resistance groups are only ballistic missiles which are cheaper to maintain and own and fire.

That's because Iran deliberately avoids human casualties. The Iranian attack was mostly for domestic consumption.

Do you really think the Iranian missiles just happened to land on airbases and military targets -- after Israel was warned -- and Iran could not hit a single target with people in it?

If Iran caused large scale civilian casualties to Israel, as Israel does in Gaza and Lebanon, then the US would have to directly jump in and Iran would be devastated.

@Shawnee is it just me or does it have a crazy speed increase in the final descent?

They are improving daily.
Faster production
Better quality

Israel has no deterrence on Houthis
I expect ground attack to start in Mareb soon as well as the ports.
Houthis appear to have huge population support based on protests, unlike Assad. They gather 1 million in Sanaa only.

Houthis after Hezbollah are carrying the honour of all Arabs now. (y)

I hope after the next inevitable Zionist bombing of Houthi civilian infrastructure, the Houthis can send 8-10 of these missiles to flatten one piece of Zionist infrastructure in return - the accuracy is the main issue after travelling 2000kms from Yemen to Occupied Palestine.
