The taliban are a guerilla army, they have zero experience fighting a conventional war.

And no, they are PRACTICALLY not better at offensive and defensive tactics than Pakistan. How do I know? It's because they've lost every single conventional man to man engagement against Pakistan.

Not even a contest. Afghanistan in its entirety and even with the help of India and the US has absolutely no chance against Pakistan when push comes to shove. The only reason why the Taliban was able to defeat USSR and US/NATO is due to Pakistani assistance. The US/NATO and even India have accused Pakistan of providing assistance to the Taliban against the Northern Alliance during US/NATO occupation of Afghanistan. There is truth to these accusations because it was back then in our interest to help the Taliban.

The Taliban and their TTP dogs need to behave. Pakistan has displayed a lot of restraint. If Pakistan starts retaliating on a daily basis, the Taliban won't be able to differentiate between day and night. Pakistan has massive advantages over Afghanistan. To begin with, it has an airforce.

The Taliban will have to take care of TTP dogs. Failure means that the Pakistani army is going to do the job itself.

Hit and Run, Guerilla tactic, insurgency works when you are fighting in home turf with local support, Taliban has to penetrate much deeper into Pakistan before anything, Plus they have no means to convince the local population that they can protect the villages from Pakistan massive Air force attacks, they have Armored Vehicles, AA guns, rusty tanks and some old Artillery, PAF can strike their columns from skies and there is not a single thing they can do, not just that few well placed CM strikes in Kabul will take out the Taliban Leadership, that will bring a leadership gap and given how Afghans are there will soon be infighting, ISIS-K will seize the moment to launch its Attack, meanwhile China will put its entire Weight behind Pakistan because they have invested heavily, not to mention that Kabul will face massive backlash from International community.
Fight against America was completely different as Americans were invading force, while Taliban hide among the local population, told them that sooner or later Americans will leave, but With Pakistan this won't work. ISI was the one who taught them to make IED's and that can be used to take out Taliban leadership as well, Pakistan can also mobilize thousands of Tribal Lashker who are loyal to Pakistan.

Even if they did I would expect PAF to not mention it as its no achievement, PAF is one of the most professional and capable Force in the world, took on IAF roughly 5-10% bigger AF than them, and kept them at bay but literally humiliate them on Feb 2019. If Taliban thinks that with capturing Pick-up trucks, Armored Vehicles, American soldier gear, they still have no match for PA/PAF in a conventional warfare, its not even a fair game.. Pakistan restrain is what keep their border posts and its guards alive, we have seen what a Stronger AF can do, Hzb has better equip, more better battle tested Fighters but IAF bombed them without contention.

Another thing to note is that when the Taliban took over again, leaders in these communities were openly calling to potentially declare independence, if the Taliban attacked them.

So there is clear separatist sentiment in Afghanistan. A lot of clans and ethnic groups do not give a damn about Ahmed Shah Abduli's Afghanistan.

All of them Tajiks and Uzbeks and Hazaras have a huge axe to grind with Talibs. My fam ( Uzbeks from AFG ) left Jowzjan in Afg for Pak and that was commie times and even then the hate was immense.
