It is insidious.

When you get thread banned, it is instant.

No warning, soft or hard.

And no private message telling you why, which allows you to appeal to higher authority either.

We all know that some moderators chosen here and given global powers based on old equations are pricks.

Many of us in the early days if the forum building have been quite open in calling them out as such.

The fact that Admins have not clipped their wings has emboldened them, as pricks and bullies trend towards when their actions are allowed without consequence.

Slowly free flowing dialog and friendly banter and leg pulling will stop.

What will be left in its wake is the strong entrenched hyper nationalist zombified positions and the hyperreligious snake pit that the old forum was in the last 8+ years of its existence.

Barely the oldies have started coming back and one by one they will disappear, seeing the old signs that are unmistakable.

Relative to their other external anxieties the Pak Iran bilateral issues are minor to low mid at worst.

This global chaos has incited some chaotic behaviour which in turn has stoked anxieties.

Even while they were bombing each other the statements read as proclamations of brotherhood, the day after it's let's normalise, very bizzare on reflection.

Opportunity to maybe more closely understand one another might follow, being optimistic.

The GCC seem the better option now atleast materially alluring, the thought i have is any decisive move now plays out over the next 30 to 50 years.
