The F-16 is past tense, buddy. What universe do you live in? The KAAN and J-35 are primarily meant to replace the F-16. Heck, the J-10 and JF-17 are newer airframes that will probably last longer than the F-16. No one cares about the F-16 anymore. It's obsolete and full of constraints. A tool for manipulation and deceit. These F-16s have cost Pakistan an arm and a leg. These last American relics in the PAF will be erased soon. As if they never existed to begin with. We will prostate and thank God the day these F-16s are completely gone.

The PAF used to obsess with the F-16 back in the day. We don't even hear about the F-16 anymore. Even the PAF understands it's time to move on. I would like to take this moment to thank the Americans for not allowing more F-16s to Pakistan. You did us a huge favor. Just look at us now.

Guys don't mix China-Pakistan and Pakistan-Turkey relations. They are seperate and remain seperate.

Pakistan will get J35 and KAAN (with Turkish Engine) both.

J35 will come around 2028 while think KAAN-P as a successor of PFX and probably a thing of mid to late 2030s.

This typical overhyping of an idea as if it is already a fact and then presenting any possible consequence towards India as a fact already … and the most stupid things, its all based on false information:

1. There is no such version like the WS-10G, this was once suggested by I don‘t know whom in a forum as a potentially improved WS-10 variant! And since then it is a fact re-posted all over again without taking care of the facts!

2. If China is willing to provide the WS-10 of any version is another question … IMO it won‘t! Why shall it provide an engine to a competitor and even more a NATO country when itself could just sell more J-35A?

3. To redesign KAAN for a vastly different, more powerful engine will again delay it - IMO it simply makes no sense just for Pakistan - when the same has to be redone for the own Turkish engine? Even more, who will pay for it? (I‘m sure certain nerds again will claim, Pakistan does not need to pay, it only has to order and CHina will deliver!

It’s commendable that Turkey has decided to go for its own indigenous turbofan engine, but is it not plausible to think that the same United States, which went out of its way to block a sale of 30 T129 ATAK, would find some other way to put pressure on Turkey not to sell its fighter jets to Pakistan?

In contrast, China is a safer option because the US does not have any means to armtwist them. That’s why I find J-35 to be a more plausible candidate.

In what way, that's very hard to see and considering Pentagon to army contacts are very tight unlikely now.
They didn't go out of their way really, just refused an order.
