You think just because im an immigrant I won't have any interaction with the first nations at all? I know people who are Metis, I know people from the 6 nations community and I have been on reserves during my time in high school - and being there was not pretty. It really showed how the damage done to them by WASP Europeans hasn't hit the brakes just yet and only now we are seeing SOME level of reconciliation (4 centuries late - but whose counting?).

Any John Doe from North America can say they are part native regardless of how true it is. At the end of the day you check 'white' on the census and enjoy the same exact privileges that any other WASP has on hand. So no - that's not really an argument.

So seeing the pain of the Native Americans in Canada firsthand somehow makes you indignant when somebody brings up the Uighurs. Good job.

That doesn't suit the OP's narrative. Apparently the US is responsible for 100% of the Native American deaths in the Americas (North + South)...even though the US was not even colonized until over 100 years after Columbus and long after the Conquistadors had wreaked havoc.

Don't worry the next thread will be about how the US was the main purveyor of the African slave trade...even though 97% of the African slaves arriving across the Atlantic were sent to other countries in the Americas. Our 3% were the most important while the other 97% doesn't matter because it doesn't fit the narrative being sold.

Agree, the narrative is more suitable for white/European countries in that period.

Furthermore, what already past should be past; we can't demand their land to be returned to Indian nor dismiss US government.

Well you see that throws a wrench into the other narrative heavily sold here that Spanish/Hispanic people aren't really white people. So they only concentrate on the "Anglo-Saxon" in North America and refuse to talk about the Spanish at all since that would be contradictory in blaming "white" Europeans for everything. They have to do this perpetual logic dance of focusing only on "Anglo-Saxons".

Not just the US Government. But the Governments of the 34 countries in North and South America. 1 Billion people in the Americas...where will they all go.
