Trump: We will not protect Syria's borders for anyone's benefit, and the Kurdish fighters must withdraw from that region. Our forces must protect our borders, not Syria's borders.

This is what most the turks have been saying Donald Trump will vacate and allow Syria´s territorial integrity and there is no stragetic gain for the US protecting a criminal militia against a NATO ally.

This is kinda of BS as Russia came in to fight the rebels and not ISIL except little

John Kerry is more in the know then you with all due respect. The quote is an accurate assessment of the reality on the ground.
John Kerry is a nobody in regards to the Syrian civil war file.

Qaseem Soleimani flew to Moscow to convince Putin to intervene and succeeded in convincing. Note it was against the rebels not daesh.

in 2015 in a critical moment where the government was all but defeated he asked for Russian intervention which gave brief life and kicked the can down the road another 9 years

"Soleimani put the map of Syria on the table. The Russians were very alarmed, and felt matters were in steep decline and that there were real dangers to the regime. The Iranians assured them there is still the possibility to reclaim the initiative," a senior regional official said. "At that time, Soleimani played a role in assuring them that we haven't lost all the cards."
"SEND SOLEIMANI"
Three senior officials in the region say Soleimani's July trip was preceded by high-level Russian-Iranian contacts that produced political agreement on the need to pump in new support for Assad as his losses accelerated.

"Axis of Resistance" bashing Hamas and sucking up to the West at the World Economic Forum. Blaming Hamas for undermining Iranian Western "reconciliation".

"Axis of Resistance" is done for.

Assad gone, Hezb + Hamas are done with Iranians too.

What's left is Iraq and Yemen.

I think, Trump will get rid of Iranians in Iraq and Saudis in Yemen.

That will leave only mullahs.

Alot of pro Iranian parties in Iraq are loosing Power, GCC/West offers Iraq what Iran cannot, economy development, investments, security. Yemen is a poor divided nation.

Iran is not easy to dislodge in Iraq. In terms of potential, despite Hezbollah being a much older group and more well armed. The PMUs have the potential to exceed Hezbollah both in fighter numbers and firepower, by virtue of sharing a border with Iran.

At the height of US power in Iraq, they could not get rid of the Shia militias and insurgency. And Post Daesh, those elements have cemented themselves inside Iraq and will be very difficult to dislodge.
