What is the Pakistani or Muslim community in US doing about this?
If this had happened to Jewish, Hindu, or Indian students, the community would hove mobilized and organized a hotline to an army of legal professionals to help these students. On what basis is 'criticizing Israel' a deportable offence? That should be challenged in court.

Netanyahu has the blank check via Trump to do whatever he would want to do, especially against non Whites/Non-America born citizens. Naturalized Citizens could be stripped of their US Citizenship if they are deemed 'Anti Semitic'. There is so much going on in America nobody is immune to the changes--I mean no community, ethnic group with the exception of the Trump's Chrisitan Zionist base. In light of that, I think until the Democrats grow a spine, the Muslim/Pakistani/immigrant community is going to 'lay low' though the Latinos are already riled up.
And let's understand why the students are targeted: American college campuses had played a historic role during the Vietnam War. Netanyahu felt so threatened by the Academia that he felt compelled to make promiment statements about them. And here is one more thing to understand: Even Genocide Joe mostly tolerated the dissent on the campus, much to the annoyrance of Netanyahu. But now Netanyahu has the free hand. Why so? Because Biden's political base is significantly different from Trump's!!

Secularization is a global, inevitable human trend--and a rapid one too. I believe many, if not most Israelis are already secular. They may act like 'Jews' but that's nationalism and sense of survival.

I understand their attack angle. We have the same thing in Australia where universities have been forced to adopt a broad definition of antisemitism, from the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance, which equates Zionism to Judaism and various criticism of Israel with antisemitism. So any criticism of Zionism or Israel is now classified as antisemitism and prosecutable under new antisemitism laws with mandatory jail and fines.

My point was that this definition of antisemitism can and should be challenged in court immediately. The simple defence is that almost everyone opposed to Israel is not opposed to a Jewish homeland -- as long as it's in Texas or Montana. It is the Palestine location that is in dispute, not the concept of a Jewish homeland. Also, Israel would be opposed exactly the same way if it had been Episcopalian, Buddhist or even Muslim.

Therefore, opposition to Israel cannot be called antisemitism. We need to fight this in the courts.

Australia and much of the Western world, with the exception of America and England, already showed them to be quite controlling , even authoritarian states during the Covid Pandemic. So no surprise there. But the muzzling of dissent on the American campuses is unprecedented: Under Biden, though his govt didn't muzzle the dissent on campus, the rich Jewish donors in America played an active role for Israel and even managed to unseat an Ivory League Arican American Woman (imagine, that!!) President of a university to resign.
But now, the State of the United States is firmly behind the muzzling: I am CERTAIN that Netanyahu asked the Trump admin to take care of the dissenters in America, starting with the Academia.
There is a giant chess board in Netanyahu's mind about the American ruling classes and the American politics and only very few people know what's on that chess board. It requires constantly updating your information to know what's happening and what's going to happen. Netanyahu is NOT going to stop with just the Academia!!!

What law? What Court? The Democrats are fighting for their own political survival as are top intelligentsia and what now! The Supreme Court is in Trump's pocket. The Senate, the House of Rep. is also Republican. And of course, the Presidency. And here is something to really understand: While the President of America is supposed to be one of the three 'equal' players, along with the Senate and the House of Rep., the President is able to exercise much more power than that. Why so? Because a President's party loyalist in the Congress almost always blindly follow whatever the personal inclinations a President has. And thus, as I always said in this thread: President Biden being a loyal Zionist didn't reflect all of the Democratic Party!

But now... Never have I seen such amassing of power in America in such an ideologically driven entity. Never! In the context of this thread: Palestinians are screwed!! The only possible light at the end of the tunnel is Trump/MBS bonhomie where MBS manages to put some restraints on Trump.

Though this video is not directly related to the topic but it does relate to something I had said multiple times before which was related to this thread. Many were wishing for some kind of a new world order led by the Chinese and the Russians, to save the Palestinians. To that, I had said that America, like other Great Powers historically, might throw the bones of Ukraine and Taiwan to Russia and China, respectively, as yet another Great Powers game. And I won't blame Russia and China for accepting the deals!

Trump is not an ideological Zionist like Biden was. Trump is a transactional, and that's not necessarily a bad thing.
