Attack on Jaffer Express

If anything they need to cooperate with the state, especially with cpec
Does state provide an avenue for that? People seriously need to visit Balochistan.

I am sure @RescueRanger has he knows.

Go to Awaran, Khuzdar, Turbat, Panjgur and see whats up? There's nothing expect wild lands, insurgents, smugglers, militias and no state presence.

Okay. Then whats the point of having a state when it cant even ensure protection? Ab ye bhi log khud krain gay?

We aren't drowning in blood right now? Look around, KPK and Balochistan are burning. Sindhis ethnonationlists are out and blocking highways and cursing the state on loud speakers. Bhai ap Punjab say bahar nikal ao zara.

When you drown in blood you lose hundreds of thousands per year, minimum tens of thousands we year

We lose a few hundred, for a massive nation

What we have is low level insecurity that won't die down

Bhai even one loss of life is too much. You have the same mentality as our rulers who consider most of the population as "expendable". This isn't a fckin numbers game, these are human lifes we are talking about.

We should be discussing how to end the issue and here we have members acting like Stalin and Mao in the thread.

Thats the only thing these people know, hammering people into submission. Eradication of extremism requires a more nuanced approach, bringing law and order, justice, education and development. Simply killing people wont solve the issue and Balochistan gonna remain a warzone for perpetuity.

100% agreed, I often find it amusing when Afghanistan sympathisers come here and say "but attacking Afghanistan will do x,y,z".

Imagine living in a neighbourhood where your neighbour not only encourages robbers to break into your home but shelters them afterwards, all the while paying lip service to some false notion of "brotherhood" meanwhile the head of the household calls for the death of your family and the seizure of your home.

Afghanistan in a nutshell!
The rebels are based in Balochistan, we should be competent enough to secure own borders, if that is not possible then hit Afghanistan how they hit us, through proxies. A direct attack on Afghanistan and starting a war will have consequences.

Tell me please how are they supposed to do that?

No state protection exists. Its either Sardars and their private armies and their private jails or BLA, BLF and other insurgent groups. They raise their voice and next day they find themselves in some private jail with no hope of coming out.

The issue isn't all black and whwhite.
Bullshit. If BLA can take an entire train hostage just to kill innocent people, but have no interest against the sardars and never condemned or attacked them ever, it's clear where the support comes from.

Lanat on the establishment policies then cause the Sardar system has the full backing from them. Pichlay 70 saal say tum logo ko yehi nai pata chal raha kay krna kia hay? Some are advocating to "decimate" Balochistan, some are advocating to just ignore them. Bhai policy bnao koi, its been 7 fckin decades and entire Southern Half of Balochistan resembles Tharparkar and Cholistan in terms of development.

Sounds good but even bombing Afghanistan for 1 month continuesly will not sort this mess out, killing people will lead to more propaganda and anti Pakistan insurgency, eventually it will become large scale insurgency from low scale. This is why some oppose attacking Afghanistan or even bombing villages in Balochistan and KPK, or allowing usa drone attacks. Pakistan must allow free and fair elections, allow a people government to come to power, negotiate with these rebels, sort out their grievances, then go after the trouble makers. The Balochistan rebellion is not mullah rebellion but secular one, like the clean shaven people ruling us.

I am all for free and fair elections, but that won't have any impact on the security situation in Baluchistan. What we are witnessing in Baluchistan is of a different magnitude with external actors involved. Unless you don't tackle the external forces, who aid the BLA there won't be tangible progress. Afghanistan must be punished in some shape or form..

Bhai we need to seal the Afghan and Iran border. Thats the route Baloch insurgents take. But that also means halting billions worth of illicit trade and oil smuggling and alot of people are directed involved in it. Do we expect the babus to drop an axe on their own purse?

It is indeed very complicated, but these are the bitter facts. Unless Afghanistan isn't addressed you are treating the symptoms without curing the disease.
