ICJ ruling on SA's case against Israel

The International Court of Justice has ordered Israel to take all measures within its power to prevent acts of genocide against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, a ruling that could have far-reaching consequences though the court has no power to enforce it. The United Nations' top court stopped short of ordering a cease-fire requested by South Africa while it hears the full case accusing Israel of genocide. The U.S. and Israel have dismissed the accusations.
As expected. USA and its lap dog dismissed the court ruling.

There are no implications as both USA and Israel have never accepted any ICJ rulings. The genocide will continue unabated.

The ICJ did not order an immediate ceasefire. It did order Israel to take steps to avoid violations of the Genocide Convention.

Israel has been given one month to comply with the ICJs ruling of taking all measures to prevent genocide. "All" is a key word here as it seems to imply a ceasefire is neccessary given that any action that hurts the Palestinian people in Gaza further could plausibly be argued to go against the ICJ rulings demand.
Indeed. The first interim measure was to "stop killing members of the group" after the ICJ affirmed that the Palestinians are a protected group under the Genocide Convention.

We have to wait for the ICJ to publish its order to assess it fully.

The ICJ's legally binding ruling also requires Israel to punish those who incite genocide. This will include Ben Gvir and Yoev Gallant (and many other officials whose genocidal statements were read out by the ICJ). Israel is unlikely to comply with this - if so, the ICJ ought to officially declare that Israel is violating its obligations under international law and order appropriate countermeasures.

You really believe that Israel will comply. If so I've got a bridge to sell to you over the gobi desert 🏜

What I believe is immaterial. I am merely noting the ICJ's verdict. Further actions, if any, by anyone, based upon the verdict, remain to be seen.

That says it all.
Though by ignoring the court decision the US and Israel will earn more bad reputation and backlash.

Ignored? How so? The verdict has ordered steps to avoid violations of the Genocide Convention to be taken, and did not order a cease-fire.
