I can't watch anything with the nio-zio Gal Gadot ... a truly horrible person when your hear her statements on Palestinanians and Gaza.

Zegler has publicly supported Palestine in the Israeli–Palestinian conflict since 2021. I

Let the cage match begin over who is the more petty about looking for an excuse to see or not see a movie.

LOL, the prize would go to all the incels in this thread ranting about the movie and industry being too 'woke' because it dares to appeal to women and minorities.

Listen...the whole thing is very simple

G=∑i=1nLi⋅eRi−∑j=1mRj⋅ln⁡(Lj+1)∣Lmax⁡−Rmax⁡∣+1G=∣Lmax−Rmax∣+1∑i=1nLi⋅eRi−∑j=1mRj⋅ln(Lj+1)
Where:
  • LiLi represents extreme-left weights.
  • RiRi represents extreme-right weights.
  • Lmax⁡Lmax and Rmax⁡Rmax are the maximum values from each side.
  • The exponential function boosts the right-side influence, while the logarithm dampens the left-side.
  • The denominator ensures the formula doesn’t explode or divide by zero.
If G>0G>0, it's "more good," and if G<0G<0, it's "more bad."

This should be how we determine all the actions we make.

Snow White has debuted on Rotten Tomatoes with a dismal score. The upcoming 2025 movie is a live-action remake of Disney's first feature-length animated movie, starring Rachel Zegler in the title role opposite Gal Gadot as the Evil Queen. The upcoming Snow White is the latest in a long-tradition of live-action remakes of Disney properties that includes titles such as 2023's The Little Mermaid, 2019's The Lion King and Aladdin, 2017's Beauty and the Beast, and the upcoming Lilo & Stitch and Moana.

Rotten Tomatoes has now aggregated an official Tomatometer score for the live-action remake of Snow White starring Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot. While the score could fluctuate as more reviews are added, at the time of writing, thoughts from 51 different critics have been tabulated to give the movie a firmly Rotten 45% score with an average rating of 5.4 out of 10. Not counting sequels, this the third-worst Tomatometer score for a Disney live-action remake, only ahead of 2022's Pinocchio (27%) and 1996's 101 Dalmatians (39%).

What This Means For Snow White

Its Opening Weekend Could Suffer Even More

While a score of 45% means that nearly half of critics gave the movie a positive score, the average score being 5.4 points to the fact that critics trended much more toward negativity than toward being legitimately mixed. Though Zegler has drawn quite a bit of praise, many have found fault with various aspects of the movie, including its lack of new ideas, its blandness, its scattershot collection of characters, its questionable CGI, and Gal Gadot's performance. This is largely borne out by Rachel Labonte's 5 out of 10 Snow White review for ScreenRant. Read an excerpt below:

This critical reception adds another demerit to the movie after a seemingly endless rush of Snow White controversies that have occurred in the lead-up to its release, which was delayed amid the 2023 Screen Actors Guild strike. This includes backlash against the property's representation of dwarfism, Zegler's criticism of the original movie in which she called the prince "a guy who literally stalks her," and much more. This may result in a diminishment of its opening weekend projections, which are already low for the $250 million movie, ranging between $37.5 and $53 million at the time of writing.

Our Take On The Snow White Rotten Tomatoes Score

Audiences Could Still Give It A Chance

Ultimately, it remains to be seen if Snow White garners the same reaction from audiences as it has from critics. Of the 11 Disney live-action remakes and their sequels that have earned Rotten scores, five have received Fresh scores from audiences on Rotten Tomatoes. This includes The Lion King (51%/88%), Mufasa: The Lion King (57%/89%), Maleficent (54%/70%), Maleficent: Mistress of Evil (40%/95%), and Aladdin (57%/94%), the latter two of which are Verified Hot on the platform. If the new movie follows in their footsteps, it could still find a way to connect with audiences.

I think Snow White has surpassed Ne Zha 2 in overseas sales (of non-Chinese and North American markets).

I think only $35M of the $2B+ for Ne Zha 2 was outside of China.

Anything with the Israeli terrorist Gal Gadot starring in it should not be watched.
This and use stremio to avoid paying anything to the hollywood elites, they can entertain me for free.

That's basically what happens with Chinese movies like Ne Zha 2 around the world since they usually don't make it to major theater screens...so everybody just watches it from the web.

Gal Gadot's real life baby killing experience in IDF and zionist control of Hollywood leading her to play the evil queen role was perfect irony.

It's a good thing Mulan has a dad or Disney would have made her black too.

She could be an orphaned Uighur Cinderella adopted by some Han family. Of course the family made her fight instead of beloved Dad.
The story of Hua Mulan took place in China during the Northern and Southern Dynasties (around the fourth century), before the Uyghur people were born.

According to the plot of the story, Hua Mulan would have been from a military noble family among the Xianbei. In 494 A.D., the Xianbei emperor led all the Xianbei people to abandon the Xianbei culture and all of them joined the Han Chinese. So the Xianbei were now completely integrated into the Han Chinese.

You may not be wrong to say that Hua Mulan is Han Chinese. But she is actually Xianbei ethnicity. The relationship between Han Chinese and Xianbei people is similar to that between the Roman Empire and Germanic tribes.

Ne Zha 2 made 20million in North America alone. It's not even in English and launch in only ~700 cinema versus 4400 cinemas for Snow White. Not to mention not much promotion at all.

I think that is pretty good for a subtitle movie.

It's supposed to be Snow White, not Snow Black.

Nezha 2 broke many box office records in several Southeast Asian countries, but it met with a cold reception from the American movie industry in the United States. It was only shown in a very small number of theaters.

This actually shows how conservative and unconfident the American movie culture is. On the contrary, China's willingness to give American movies a high ranking proves China's cultural self-confidence.
