Turkish newspaper Hurriyet:
Syria faces a very difficult task, but Türkiye is the guarantor of its stability.

this is the time for our country, Pakistan, to grab this opportunity. get in syria, grab civil works contracts for companies like descon and nespak. grab money from syrians and their financers and supply them with weapons. send a contingent to train them etc. etc.

#Iran FM: We are only an observer in #Syria. We’ve decided to be patient, and we are in no rush even regarding contact with the new government. Our policy is to wait and see, and we are not interfering in what’s happening in the country.

Turkey announced that they cut all trade with Israel, although very late, last year.

Israel was the only country on earth where Turkey exported more goods than imported from. It was one of the rare positive trade balances of Turkey, but they stopped it.

The only thing that goes to Israel is the Azerbaijani oil - i think that the Turkish government is afraid that their status as “Energyhub” will be damaged if they cut the Azerbaijani pipeline.

Otherwise i cant find a plausible reason.

Why would a Shia-country (Azerbaijan) use a Sunni-country (Turkey) to export oil to a Jewish country that kills Muslims and Christians?

If the Turkish government and the Turkish president had just an quarter inch of balls, they would cut the oil directly or sabotage it and put it in “maintenance” or “repair”.

If its only the oil, because i heard something about Turkish food and water to the IDF while aid to Gaza is blocked - i hope its not true.

there is absolutely no denying the capabilities of the Turks

however they are either doing 1 or 2 of the following

1- they support Israel

2- they support Palestine and islam and are just way too clever then the most of us on this forum and are well rehearsed over their 500 years of rule over Europe to know that you cant really fight a Superpower without being ready

they know fighting Israel means fighting directly the USA

and to stand and fight a Global Superpower is not a wise thing when your technology is not ready and slowly they are building up theirs technologies so that one day they can stand up and fight on their own

after all Ottomans were no joke, they knew the abilities of their enemies more than what they knew about themselves this is why they knocked on every castle door in Europe

So Turkey is either waiting or with Israel and honestly I dont know which one it is

Or the Turks could stop giving food and energy to Israel?

Honestly nothing really special about that hit a runway some buildings that can be replaced quickly like when they used to attack said bases when Iran and Syrian forces were stationed there I only would ask what turkey would do if it resulted in Turkish death

My assume is that they will first repair Meng airbase in north and establish first circle for denying air intrusion in that area and under that cover they will gradually expand this into other bases to form full networked umbrella, it take some time and hardware resources that i am not sure if turks have in prompt disposition. Especially AD assets and it is questionable how many air fighter they can afford for such tasks.
