The US under Obama supported the Saudi coalition against them bombing them for nearly a decade, the yemenis have plenty of reasons to hate the US. Your government's go around bombing with impunity and create allot of hate as a result.

Do you think their pinpricks can degrade the USN's offensive capabilities? That's what pre-emptive strikes are supposed to do - take out the enemy's ability to carry out an imminent attack on you. Not to invite an attack in the first place.
