There is a reason why no country have the balls to challenge Houthi in Red Sea. The shipping activity in Red Sea is to the benefit of Europe, Russia, and China. All lacking in balls. Only the US have the balls and technology to handle such threats.
This is why JD Vance is upset, he says why the hell the US is fighting for other thankless countries in Red Sea who claim to have balls but have none.

The Houthis can't hit back, they are getting bombed pretty much every day. A nation which can hit back would down the planes or attack the airfields, carriers which launch such an attack.
The reason why China, Russia et al are not engaging the houthis because they know their actions are not directly aimed at them, for the US which is hand in glove supporting Israeli genocide they know it affects their 51st state Israel which has lost huge revenues from lack of shipping to their ports.

The Houthi are using drones, cruise missiles, and ballistic missiles to attack American ships in Red Sea. What else they are supposed to do to hit back? This is the extent of it for any regional power. The Houthi are doing more to respond to American forces than any regional power has managed to in decades.

When I said hit back I meant having the means to hurt the US, houthis missiles we have seen are not potent enough to beat US defensive systems, they dont have a navy that can launch attacks or an airforce that can defend their skys. A nation which has potent air arm and navy won't be targeted like this by the US, the US has a habit going after weak, divided, heavily sanctioned nations. The true tell tale signs of an international bully.

Russian navy lost several ships in Black Sea to a lesser threat than Houthi in naval warfare techniques. Houthi missiles are slim (small rcs) and potent enough to damage and sink the largest of ships. However, the US has technological superiority over most countries in high-tech warfare techniques. It is not easy to breach American naval defenses. And even if a costly ship is mission-killed, it will provoke a much larger American response and the US might bomb the whole country back to the stone age much like in the Pacific War. Let's not speak less of a regional power when it is doing more than all countries in a fight who claim to have balls.

There is no reason to save European or Chinese trade through Red Sea, period!
The fact that you flaunt that is in fact in itself an exercise in deception. US is not protecting European trade it is protecting Israel. The halt in Yemeni fire on Israel during the ceasefire was a proof of that fact.
Now, should one hit a carrier, as even a broken clock is right twice a day. May cause enough losses to be marketed for an all out war. The bloodiest yet... as Yemen has the greatest terrain advantage conducive for a nation brimming with small arms. For those who think that Saudis can push from south live in a fools paradise... roughly 80% of Yemeni population lives under Ansar Allah with full support. Which is why after a decade of bombing and tactics of mass starvation have failed.
