I agree with you on most part, but this...

Well, there are plenty of chance the US will run by trump-like smartass in the future, after all this mess, trump's polling number has not change much.

Which suggest: there are 50%+ or so americans are just trump-like, so for every election in the future (assuming trump failed to become the king of US) there will be 50%+ likelihood that they elected another trump-like smartass.

China cancels all tariffs on the US and agrees to buy more from us, I'm sure the President will be open to consideration.

As for our Canadian cousins, why they charge such a tariff on US dairy products is beyond me. Those are as much as 200%.

@Yommie, haven't had time to read up on the smartphones, etc. Busy dealing with the new house.

Trump only needs tariffs on auto imports. There's a large union in the US called UAW. Trump needs their votes. Imports on phones, PCs, shoes serve no purpose.
 
Perhaps Trump has forgotten some of those imports impact American brands. Of my F-150, over 50% of the parts came from CA and MX for final assembly in Kansas City.

Basically the tariff remains for small businesses, but billionaires business get the exception.
