They should may as well upgrade the tor system to tor 3 models then at this point to supplement their Chinese cousins

Egypt's obtaining the "Scorpene 2000 submarine" weapon raises concerns in Israel

Israeli media reports raised concerns about a possible deal between Egypt and France to buy the advanced "Scorpene 2000" submarines, in a move to enhance Egyptian Naval capabilities.

The Israeli news site "Bleeding Net" quoted intelligence sources that negotiations between the Egyptian and French sides have been going on since 2021, indicating that the deal may be developing after the official visit of French President Emmanuel Macron to Egypt in April.

The report indicated that the French submarines have advanced abilities, as they range from 66 to 75 meters long, and can dive up to a depth of 350 meters, with the ability to stay in the water for up to 50 continuous days. Its speed reaches 23 underwater knots, with a operating range of 12,000 km.

The site expressed its concern that strengthening the Egyptian naval fleet with these advanced submarines will give the Egyptian naval forces a strategic advantage in the region.

It also pointed out that the deal includes a clause for the transfer of French technology to Egypt, which will contribute to the development of the local capabilities of the submarine industry.

For his part, the expert in Israeli affairs and professor of the Hebrew language at Ain Shams University, Mohamed Abboud, stressed that the Egyptian army's strength is the main barrier in front of Israeli expansion and the implementation of plans to displace Palestinians.

Abboud said in exclusive statements to "RT" that Egypt has a strong army and ready for all scenarios, which prevents Israel from implementing any forced displacement plans against the Palestinians. He said: "If the Egyptian army was not this strong, Israel would have executed its displacement plans without hesitation."

The Egyptian expert pointed out that this fact explains the Israeli media campaigns against the Egyptian armament policy, as the Israeli right and supporters of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu are launching systematic attacks on Egypt and its armed forces through the media and electronic teams.

On the other hand, Abboud pointed out that the moderate voices in the Israeli security establishment are keen to issue statements confirming its commitment to the peace treaty with Egypt, because it realizes the reality of the deteriorating Israeli military situation.

The Egyptian expert analyzed the situation of the Israeli army, saying: "The Israeli army has become more like a tiger on paper," explaining that the Israeli forces suffer from severe attrition due to their multiple wars in Gaza, Lebanon, Syria and the West Bank, in addition to the decline in morale between soldiers and the spread of physical and psychological injuries.

Abboud added that the Israeli army is facing a new crisis, which is the increasing number of reserve soldiers who are behind the response to packing orders, which greatly reduces its readiness to confront a strong and developed regular army such as the Egyptian army.

It is noteworthy that Egypt currently has 4 209 - MOD class German submarine, which makes it one of the few countries in the region that has a variety of advanced submarines.

These developments come within the framework of strengthening defense relations between Egypt and France, which has witnessed a remarkable development in recent years, especially in the field of maritime cooperation and armament.

There has been no official announcement, but there are many rumors.
Rumors indicate that Egypt has acquired the HQ-9 system. Previous US websites reported that Egypt had acquired the HQ-17/18 system, a variety of air defense radar packages, shoulder-fired missiles, and various electronic warfare systems.
Rumors indicate that Egypt has acquired the J-10C and J-20 in limited numbers, and negotiations are underway for the J-35 and even the J-16, including the DF-15, WS-2D, A-200/300, and DF-12/16 land systems.

The facts indicate that there is cooperation and access to air training, which means that air deals are being implemented.
Egyptian-Chinese relations do not raise Western suspicions, as Egypt has used Chinese products since the 1970s to obtain large quantities under local production licenses.

Egypt had planned to produce a domestic air defense system five years ago, and had allocated 7 billion Egyptian pounds to produce this system and main battle tanks. The latest rumors indicate that Egypt is producing the HQ-9 system. Under license to replace the SA-2 systems, joint Russian and Chinese systems are used, as is the case with modernizing Russian systems.

However, what is actually happening is that China is fully aware that the Western economic pressures exerted on Egypt by the West and the Gulf are aimed at China and have thwarted the Chinese Silk Road project. Therefore, China is investing huge sums of money in Egypt, particularly in ports, logistics cities, and industry. Egypt has secured preferential trade agreements with several countries with a population of 3 billion. Egypt is also closer to European markets than China, and the cost of shipping from China to Europe and West Africa has been reduced.

The Chinese-Egyptian air exercises for the first time indicate that there are fighter jet deals, whether announced by the two countries or not. Egypt has sensitive facilities, such as nuclear reactors and economic cities, that require protection. Egypt has invested $550 billion in the Egyptian military infrastructure, which requires protection. The SU-35 deal and even plans to acquire 30 SU-57 fighters were among their missions, including the protection of Egyptian nuclear reactors. In the hyena so as not to be exposed to air attacks, so advanced and heavy fighters are vital for Egypt. The most America will be able to do is allow South Korea to sign deals for training aircraft and light fighters with Egypt, which are intended to replace the Fajt and L-59 aircraft, while Egypt needs fighters to confront the Israeli, Greek and Italian F-35 and the Turkish Yuri Typhoon in the future. There are no permanent friendships or permanent hostilities. The expansion of the Egyptian Air Force as a result of the collapse of states in Sudan and Libya and Israel’s use of Ethiopia and the Emirates as hostile tools against Egypt in the Nile Basin and Africa necessitates that Egypt develop its air force. From this previous explanation and the fact that China is carrying out air maneuvers with Egypt for the first time after air shows in Egypt, a precedent not only for friendship, as any arms deals require air training programs and also require the transfer of combat concepts and the unification of combat patterns. China and Russia also want to cooperate with Egypt for reasons related to confronting Western weapons that are present in Egypt to train against them to raise the efficiency of their air weapons through training programs and relations Egypt's relations with China and Russia excite the West, which is convinced that it will make what it claims are concessions for cooperation, and Egypt also wants to obtain weapons at special prices. The Chinese have offered Egypt to produce systems such as the HQ-9/18 within the local manufacturing and joint development program that Egypt was targeting, with great facilitation, both financial and such deals are important for a simple reason: the SA-2/3 systems served in Egypt for 50 years, and Egypt produced its own missiles in the 1980s because large numbers of stocks would be consumed over decades. Therefore, the economic production of air defense missiles in Egypt, given Egypt's great needs, will be economically produced. The Chinese do not object because they have newer systems such as the HQ-19. Therefore, releasing such systems to Egypt is not sensitive as long as the size of the deals is large. It is also believed that Egypt seized the deal that Turkey was negotiating and left it due to Western pressure for the FD-2000 systems. China has achieved its economic goal for the deal, and Egypt has achieved its desire at the same time. Egypt is reorganizing Air defenses do not become prohibited within Israeli airspace immediately after takeoff, which angers the Israelis and Americans. Egypt is converting air defenses to semi-offensive systems. During the civil war in Sudan, Egypt converted the defense against the Emirati drones provided to the RSF forces by striking them where they were located before takeoff. Sorry for the long response, but it is explanatory. He explained the importance of obtaining Chinese fighters, as Egypt wants to replace its outdated fourth-generation fighters, and also to expand the capabilities of the Egyptian Air Force, as Egypt has doubled the number of military airports and has developed dozens of old airports over the past years.

@Deino looks like got their J-10CE.

Translated text is this :

"The Chinese Ministry of Defense announced the first joint air exercise with Egypt, dubbed "Civilization Eagle 2025," to be held from mid-April to early May."

Not sure how that equates to Egypt has got their J10CE ?

But both countries never trained together and by chance they train together with the ongoing rumours.

So they’re looking at the j16 potentially now?
Only reasons I can think about this is to “loophole” caatsa and have an advanced “su35” platform with aesa radars and more modern technology then the current su35.

Just speculation, but if Egyptian su35s are being sold to Iran and Algeria(which hopefully isn’t the case). But if they are, it allows Egypt to smuggle in an even more advanced version of the su platform with highly advanced avionics. So Egypt pretty much jumps the gun and maintains its aircraft superiority with having an already established aesa radar fitted sukhoi aircraft. That being the j16.

In other words, Egypt is thinking long term and is preserving its air dominance while knowing the current military deals are taking shape with Algeria,Iran,Sudan(with their interests in j10s). Interesting.

Egypt-China Defense Relations: Update on the talks for J-20 fighters

Egypt is still in talks with China for the procurement of J-20 fifth-generation fighter jets.

The note provides an overview of the following aspects:

- The breakthroughs made in the negotiations

- Outstanding issues still under negotiation and geopolitical challenges

- The time-frame in which an agreement is expected to be reached

There are many people who have sympathy with Pakistan, breaks the news of J-20's export to Pakistan. Some other Geopolitical analysts makes it's way towards Egypt. And everybody knows that it is not for export.

Rumors indicate that Egypt has acquired the J-10C and J-20 in limited numbers, and negotiations are underway for the J-35 and even the J-16, including the DF-15, WS-2D, A-200/300, and DF-12/16 land systems.
The level of China's arms sales is related to the level of diplomatic relations between China and the target country. With the current level of China-Egypt relations, there is no possibility that the J-20 will be exported to Egypt.
There is an agreement between China and Russia. China has explicitly promised not to export the Chinese version of the Su-27 (including derivative models, J-11/J-15/J16 series) fighter. J-16 is not exported!
There is no possibility that these two fighters will be exported to Egypt. Don't even think about it!

J-10CE and J-35. Egypt can make a choice based on its own situation. Both fighters support customized services. China can tailor their internal systems to Egypt's needs.

Most of China's public air defense systems can be exported. If the target country needs technology transfer and localized production support, this can be resolved through negotiations.

China publicly declares compliance with MTCR rules. Therefore, medium- and long-range ballistic missiles are difficult to export. Short-range ballistic missiles can be exported, but they will be technically processed to comply with MTCR regulations.
However, China has retired SRBMs on a large scale. The PLARF has only retained a small number of SRBMs with special warheads, and most of the SRBMs have been transferred to the PLARF's teaching, scientific research and testing institutions. In China's weapon system, most of the SRBM firepower coverage tasks have been transferred to the PLAGF's long-range rocket artillery units. ------ Special strike missions such as heavy earth-penetrating bombs, fuel-air explosive bombs, and cluster anti-runway bombs are still the responsibility of the PLARF.

PLA's non-active weapons generally do not have too many export restrictions.

"The Chinese Ministry of Defense announced the first joint air exercise with Egypt, dubbed "Civilization Eagle 2025," to be held from mid-April to early May."
I noticed that in the announcement of the Chinese Ministry of Defense, they used the term "joint training" instead of "military exercise".
This means that this activity may continue for some time.

I want to enter into a debate on these points because whatever the point of view, as long as things are not in the field of the emergence of weapons, there will always be a lack of acceptance of this point of view. I made it clear simply that Egypt is not a small country. Even the maneuver called Eagles of Civilization 2025 shows that the countries of ancient civilizations are against modern artificial countries such as America, Israel, the Emirates, and other countries that did not exist during the previous 600 years. Therefore, we leave the confirmation to the stage of announcing or their actual emergence, which is better than an argument that will not end.
