Yeah, well Delhi borders UP.. some farsi, some khari boli and few other dialects sorta morphed into Urdu iinw

The discussion will go down the usual route, too emotive a subject

The Indians will ultimately want to link everything back as linking to Hinduism, it's reflexive to anything from south asia

The Pakistani will probably just be rude about it eventually, absent being able to explain much well

Northern areas, and in fact most contiguous regions, are complicated historically, not as simple as Tamil in Tamil Nadu, English in Britain

Flemmish was originally founded or lets say spoken by a Germanic people, Germanic roots, but today is only associated with Belgium

Urdu was a mughal language, hybridised and infused by design with other Muslim peoples as a mughal language.

In essence, in spirit, it's very much anathema to current day India which seeks reaffirmation of it's Hindu purity and rejection of foreign influence
