Pakistan Navy inducted a fourth offshore patrol vessel (OPV) named PNS Yamama in its fleet on Monday, describing it as a ship equipped with modern stealth features and sophisticated weapons that enables it to function in a multi-threat environment.

PNS Yamama was constructed at the Damen Shipyard in Romania. The multi-purpose ship is equipped with modern stealth features, the latest command and control systems, and sophisticated weapons and sensors, the navy said in a statement.

A ceremony to officially induct the OPV was held at the Jinnah Naval Base in the southwestern town of Ormara in the presence of government officials, local dignitaries and senior Pakistan Navy officers.

Pakistan Navy's strategy repels Indian aircraft carrier INS Vikrant deployed in Arabian Sea

Pakistan Navy's anti-axis/area-denial strategy repels Indian aircraft carrier as India has withdrawn its INS Vikrant which was earlier stationed at INS Kadamba naval base in Karwar, Karnataka near Pakistan border.

According to the latest satellite images, the Indian aircraft carrier INS Vikrant has suddenly arrived at the Indian port of Karwar. INS Vikrant was present at sea for only a few days. According to the Indian Navy, INS Vikrant was deployed in the Arabian Sea in view of the recent tensions between Pakistan and India. The Indian government deployed INS Vikrant on April 23 near Pakistani territorial waters in the North Arabian Sea. The Indian Navy decided to recall the aircraft carrier due to the presence and continuous patrolling of the Pakistan Navy at sea.

According to the latest satellite intelligence (IMINT) images taken on April 26, 2025, INS Vikrant has re-moored at Karwar port. According to satellite images taken on April 23, INS Vikrant was heading towards the open waters of the Arabian Sea.

Indian media and social media were in a frenzy over the deployment of INS Vikrant. An aircraft carrier is not deployed in the open sea for just a few days. If the Pakistan Navy's "carrier killer" missile systems are active at sea, retreat is the only safe option.

All PN vessels who r yet to be retrofitted with their armaments arr nothing but sitting ducks.
They either need to be fitted with their full compliment of weapons, radars etc or withdrawn from service n taken to a friendly country to put them out of harms way.
As they have the potential to become a very expensive loss that we cant afford

Exactly I have been saying thus fir sometime now

Well provided ships remain close to Shore , they will be under Umbrella of SAM protection

Also there are sufficient Airforce presence

The Units cover 360 Degree

There is sufficient coverage for defensive Need

The Long Range Land to Sea Missiles can take of any business at sea

Also enough ships with own air defenses

But if people think we are sitting ducks I suppose we are ducks we can't convince everyone

Everything Pakistan does is to safe guard against "Accidental" discharge or misadventure

Mostly defensive in nature , not for Gazwa-e-hind

In the current scenario, would it be appropriate to assume that PNS Babur would have been outfitted with AShMs and the CAMM-ER, as it has already been commissioned?

To be commissioned means "active duty" not just sea trial
The active status is not initiated until the ship is ready for sea

Yes sometimes there are periods when a new ship arrives initially but later there is a activation ceremony

The sea trials are initially done at the manufacturing country as well for basic operation

I have to criticize you a few words!

For a national army, the most important thing is not weapons and equipment, but the fighting spirit of the soldiers.
Weapons and equipment are used to defeat the enemy, not for show.
Whether our weapons and equipment are advanced or backward, it doesn't matter. What's important is that we must first have the spirit and courage to fight to the death.
If we are afraid of fighting because of weapons, we will always be looked down upon by others.

The Chinese army has been in a situation of extremely backward weapons and equipment for a long time, but no country has ever dared to despise the PLA. Because the PLA has the spirit of daring to fight to the death.

In the 1996 Taiwan Strait Crisis, the United States sent two aircraft carrier battle formations into the Taiwan Strait. At that time, the PLA naval ships were extremely backward and were no match for the US Navy.
However, we were not afraid at all. Our naval ships were not good, so we moved the army artillery on board. All soldiers left suicide notes and boarded the ship with body bags.
This photo from that year has now been recorded in history forever. But this spirit has continued in the PLA.

I hope the Pakistani army will not only learn the equipment and technology of the PLA, but also learn the fighting spirit of the PLA.
