India will be the net loser even in case of prolonged heightened tensions with Pakistan. The way the world works, 'Capital' is very sensitive to conflicts. Pakistan is much weaker on the economic front anyway and has far less to lose. And I dare say, the Chinese would be very happy that the push to transfer business away from them to countries like India would be majorly dented.
Please keep us posted as you know. Thanks.
Yesterday, two Indian retired General said that India could move the LOC about 10-15 km westward in places but one of them, General Panag, also said that Pakistan too can push the LOC eastward in places. Also, though very difficult, India could take a chunk of Azad Kashmir but taking and holding onto Gilgit Baltistan is virtually impossible: That region is hugged by a large part of Pakistan and thus becomes an impossibly large territory to hold onto especially considering how the northern Pakistanis are a warlike culture.
Right.
Plus, satellite based surveillance is so advanced that Russians are able to detect if a bomber is being refueled--that's just one example. And now that stupid Modi antagonized China perhaps to the point of no return in our lifetime, the Chinese are sitting on top of Laddakh and fortifying. Who knows what kind of 'eyes' and 'ears' they have been sharing with Pakistan about the Indian movements in Kashmir??
