Deals for 26 Rafale-M jets, three Scorpene submarines to be signed by next month: Navy Chief

I firmly believe most of these posters claiming to be Chinese are actually Pakistani posters blowing smoke up chinease products because it reduces I security

Since independence Pakistan has had great success with french mirages and USA falcons They have relied on western training tactics and technology...The can't afford to buy USA or french technology like late falcons or Rafales now.
They have no choice but to praise china because their military will become all chinease soon enough
They have to believe that the chinease are catching up to Rafale F35 or Raptors now ...That Pl15 bvrs are equal of Amraam D or french meteore
That Chinese stealth is real not semi stealth like su57
So the ridiculous critical posts towards Indian Rafale entry is understandable it smells of envy and fear

Buddy

China is the world's manufacturing engine and has been for at least 3 or 4 decades DECADES now

China has now plowed in TRILLIONS into its military industrial complex and military

Combine the two, then what do you get?

Your argument had some validity in the 1990s even going into the 2000's, but since then China has simply begun to churn out military products equal to anything in the world and have now begun to push past the old western military complex

You can underestimate China if you don't want, but you will pay for it

If everything is on track and they are going to received their first navy rafale by 2029, by then our first 100K tons CVN will be on sea trial, so let them have all these China junk talk, we don't care.

It's done. The deal for 26 Rafale M/D fighters for the Indian Navy has been signed. Congratulations to the Indian Navy and all it's well wishers.

As per what was earlier mentioned, 3.5 years for the first fighters to be delivered. Dassault will demonstrate a modified Rafale M with the changes that the IN asked for. Most likely to fit the Rafale M in the lifts of the INS Vikrant.

This deal comes with the option of integrating Astra I believe.

This deal comes with the option of integrating Astra I believe.

if it does, it'll be the Astra Mk2, since at Aero India 2025 it was revealed that the IN wants to acquire Astra Mk2 instead of Astra Mk1. Even though an order for Astra Mk1 was placed already on behalf of the IN, although I expect those missiles will be happily taken up by the IAF for it's fighter fleet.

As mentioned in the Press Information Bureau report. And remember a PIB report means that this is coming from the Govt of India.

"Includes Training, Simulator, Associated Equipment, Weapons and Performance-Based Logistics. It also includes additional equipment for the existing Rafale fleet of the Indian Air Force (IAF)."

So additional equipment for the IAF's 36 Rafales is also included in this, along with weapons, training, simulator, PBL. One can only speculate what the additional equipment for the IAF is.

Plus this-
"In line with the Government's thrust on Aatmanirbhar Bharat, the agreement includes Transfer of Technology for integration of indigenous weapons in India. It also includes setting up of production facility for Rafale Fuselage as well as Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul facilities for aircraft engine, sensors and weapons in India. The deal is expected to generate thousands of jobs and revenue for a large number of MSMEs in setting up, production and running of these facilities."

This definitely means more Rafales are coming for the IAF. Otherwise it makes no sense to ask for setting up of production facility for Rafale fuselage and full MRO for the M-88, RBE2 AESA radar and various weapons for just 62 Rafales between the IAF and IN overall.

Could be setting the stage for the 114 MRFA.

The delivery of these aircraft would be completed by 2030, with the crew undergoing training in France and India.

Deliveries to be completed by 2030.

Could be setting the stage for the 114 MRFA.
No way in hell are we buying 114 of those overpriced jets, IAF will go bankrupt.
Even in the best case scenario no more than 54 will be bought,
Bringing the total number for aircraft IAF to be 90 (5 squadrons)
Add Navy Aircrafts that will be transferred to IAF in due time (assuming TEDBF goes through) and you will have your 116 aircrafts, more than enough for IAF.
