The US has significantly degraded Houthi ballistic missile and one way attack drone capability. Thats a fact. Rarely do we see attacks on ships or Israel these days.
Carrier evasive maneuvers are standard defensive measures. There’s nothing desperate about it. The USN trains for this all the time.
It’s been a year and a half. Not a single USN ship hit.

NO. The US dismantled Saddam regime and reshaped the political landscape of Iraq.

The Taliban agreed to not allow virtually any non-state actor (NSA) to posit a threat to the US from Afghanistan in Doha Accords in 2020. The US did not deem it necessary to reshape political landscape of Afghanistan after Doha Accords with the Taliban, therefore. Details here. The US is not at war with Russia in Ukraine but a supplier of arms to Ukraine which is not unusual in modern conflict situations. Houthi turned out to be well-prepared for war. They have a massive arsenal of missiles and drones that collectively provide asymmetric advantage. They also have less visible infrastructure with largely underground facilities. Houthi are a regional power with serious anti-shipping and anti-aircraft capability. They have shown more than enough capability to handle regional forces and threats in war since 2014.
Now the US is onto them but war with a well-prepared side takes time to produce results. This war also has restricted coverage from both sides so analysis is difficult.

The current strategy may not be sufficient. The US is yet to expand the war on the ground in Yemen like in the case of Operation Inherent Resolve in Iraq and Syria that led to defeat of well-armed ISIL forces in the region. Let's see if there is a shift in this war.
