Given the amount of contempt Trump administration has for anyone other than the US and how they are bashing every big or mall country (even India on trade imbalances), Pakistan seems to be suspiciously immune until now, infact Pakistan is the the only country having been praised by Trump, somehow.
At the same time, the biggest surprise for me in all of this, is that India suddenly seems very handicapped diplomatically, this time. I fully expected them to have at least 70% of the world condemning Pakistan by name, the way India went on offensive. and mind you, as a Pakistani even I have always accepted India's diplomatic reach, there has never been a doubt about it. But for the first time India seems to be having a diplomatic failure given the way nobody's ready to even name Pakistan in any statement. Even in this rare case of Vance, he is not blaming Pakistan or its Govt as being involved, but very politely asking Pakistan to look into any terror groups that might be operating, and help India with it. That's as light a statement as one can give.
Even during early days of Pehalgam, I had to do google searches for BBC/CNN/WP/Arabnews articles about Pehelgam because they were all in corners below most of the other everyday news articles.
Either India has just overplayed the Pakistan card too much and everyone is fed up of it or maybe Pakistan might be more important to the world than we Pakistanis think we are lol.
